Looks like some of the places I harvest. Next to a field in the hardwoods. You're awesome. (Steve sent me). Blue Jay feathers are fun. They twirl when they fall. Unless he's having a bad hair day.

Nice granny morel there at the end. I have heard about those southern cottonwood fruitings. What were those pretty pink flowers?

We like the granny's. Not sure about the flowers but I'm sure about Cottonwood they are my go to tree. Its neat how regions differ, I've never found a Morel under Ash?

Yeah, white and black ash can really produce up here. I am told the green ash too although never found any with them. All live trees. Found one big morel once by a cottonwood that was struck by lightening here.
