But, with a few changes here and there to your van build, I would say, it is one of the best camper van builds we have seen yet for my wife and I. I mention the generation difference because your design would work just as well for us old farts as it does for you young adults. Even the dog is accommodated! @@wanashthegash No, we will not be. I dont really want to get into the specifics of it(i'm honestly tired of arguing about this with people who are ignorant to this job world) just know, that I, as an experienced truck driver, do know better than the average Joe wheather or not we should be "scared" of losing our jobs to "AI". And we should not be. Here is a short semi-informational video for you to watch. He hits on a few reasons of why this isnt an issue. facebook.com/GlennBeck/videos/483502655762316/

Nikkiye Dettle Yeah? I listened to what Beck said, but I didn't hear him explain how truck driving as a profession is somehow safe from autonomy. He explained how vital the trucking industry is to pretty much every other industry and all retail. He explained how there's currently a shortage of drivers. But when true autonomy finally gets here it's going to first take all those jobs that can't be filled, then gradually all the other driving jobs as well, as trucks are replaced or retrofitted for autonomy. A lot of delivery truck drivers will be able to keep their jobs because the job involves unloading and delivering goods, and sometimes even stocking shelves as well as just driving. Movers will still have their jobs because most of their work is moving furniture in and out of the truck. But any job that just involves driving is likely to eventually go away. BTW: Beck says something stupid when he says grocery stores are restocked 8 times per day. Grocery stores may receive on average about 8 deliveries per day, but none of them are complete restocking shipments. No one item in the store is restocked more than once per day. Your milk delivery comes on a different truck from your Frito Lay snacks, and the Coke delivery comes in the different truck from your Pepsi products. Your breads are stocked by a different truck than your meats and vegetables and canned goods.

@@dlwatib - In the UK many roads are narrow single track lanes/roads which require reversing back to a passing spot, awkward entrances which require special maneuvers and getting out of the cab or asking another person to spot for you with parked cars preventing the maneuver etc. AI is nowhere near capable of dealing with these situations and would cause gridlock or accidents. Very nice work. You might consider on your next build to round off all the corners with a router. I once got a serious cut on the edge of a cabinet when I was in the back of our class C RV and she had to hit the brakes unexpectedly. It required a hospital visit. Also, catalytic heaters use considerably less fuel than forced air heating. You can get a version that uses outside air for burning and venting so they are totally safe. One last thing. Everywhere hot water is used in our RV, I installed a three-way valve, temperature gauge and a line to run water back to the main water tank so that while the water is coming up to temp it is flowing back to the main tank and not into the waste tank. I installed the three way valve right next to the shower head so when showering, the water coming out of the shower head is always the perfect temp with no water waste. We were able to extend our wilderness stays by a few days with the water saved. Once again, really nice work.

I've been watching a bunch of these type videos lately because my husband and I want to travel extensively after he retires in a couple of years, but I wanted something I could drive as well, so a big motor home was not an option. I really appreciate how thorough you are! And you've done a great job. It looks very inviting. And yes, a full shower is a MUST HAVE!

Just Wow Wow Wow! Finally a video in which nothing is missing and every essential thing is included. Perfect design and so practical and stylish. This is the most perfect setting I've seen on youtube. I'm copying it lol. I never understood why most ppl don't include showers in their RV's. You guys are so talented and by the way a beautiful couple. God bless and thanks for sharing this so detailed video. You ROCK! Subscribed!

Excellent Job You can build these and Sell them. It’s just about perfect 👌 The Camping ⛺️ Van Conversation Companies don’t live in them and tend to miss things that full timers need. No kidding.

This is true!! I wish I could clone myself so I could enjoy my camper and build them at the same time

Kathy Fann agreed - if you’re open to new ways of making a living, looks like you could make some dough from converting vans for people...

ditto. This is the first van conversion I've seen for people who are especially outdoor active/gear intensive, and who like to cook; not to mention also having a dog.

Yeah this would have been great when I was 18 to 23 years old. I could of bought one of these as a starter home & just park on my parents land. Still be at home just in my own space.

DAMN. I have seen nearly every van build youtube video. They all have terrible drawbacks. I have had a no compromises design idea in my head for the Promaster 159ext and really thought that once I started drawing it out, it wouldn't all fit. What you have built is extremely similar to what I have had in mind. You have outdone yourself. I would pay for a detailed build guide of this van. You are appreciated.
@TrentandAllie6 жыл бұрын
That’s such good news to hear that and I’d love to give you a detailed build guide but I didn’t use plans, I just built this van as it went along. Glad to give you hope for fitting all the necessities in your van build!
@ArthurKlisiewicz6 жыл бұрын
Planning to get a van next spring and convert it. I would be happy to pay for detailed plans and directions. Although I have seen some of your build videos lots of stuff has been skipped. I suggest to make small eBOOK and sell it. I'm sure there are tons of people willing to pay for your experience and ideas (I'm one of them). I watched your built videos of your first van and have to say you have skills and talent. You both are very nice couple and it is a pleasure to watch you. Waiting for ebook or some sort of guide. Great job!!! Best home Promaster build ever !

INDEFINITELIFESPAN, be sure and add a vent for any propane appliances (stove, etc.) or your username will mean nothing! You know, Carbon Monoxide being deadly, and all (aka, the "silent killer"). Some think a little is okay, but who knows, maybe one day when a woman doesn't realize she is pregnant. Well, you get the picture. Studies show it adds to cardiovascular disease at low levels. ~Peace

The very first thing I look for in the videos about Vans, Schoolies, and Tiny Houses is, where do you get clean, and where do you have a toilet. Second is how do you combine beauty and practicality in the living space. So far your video on van conversion and the one done by the young woman of Bearfoot Theory, check off those areas with great practical ideas, beauty and style. The very best to you in your travels, that you will be safe and continue to have wonderful adventures.

Y'all thought of everything. I love the kitchen the stove is huge. I love the shower and the cabinets with those button locks. You would think all campers and RVs would have cabinets like that. The bed is huge and you have all the safety features you need. Congratulations! Y'all did a really amazing job on this van. Your dog seems to love it too. 😎👍🐾

The Japanese concept of a (Japanese) futon on a tatami mat would work really well on your bed frame. The futon can folded into a legless couch (like a number '6', more or less). You could just put a 1" cushion under a rug in that area to substitute for the extra cushioning you would get from a tatami mat. This way, you could sit next to each other and watch tv or eat. The Japanese would use a low legged table to eat here, which of course could be folded and hung on a wall. Eating could be done sitting 'Indian' style, or the Japanese use legless chairs at these low tables for back support, which, again, could be folded for storage. Plenty of youtube videos on these things.
