One of the things I like best about shows like this one is how the men get so warm N fuzzy over the animals, particularly the baby ones. All too often I run across men (and women too!) who just want to hunt and kill them. The odds are always against the creatures that they're slaughtering because the animals don't have guns. The hunters are so proud and puffed-up when they are in no danger at all! The natives were killing for survival, used every bit of the animal and only had arrows or spears. Actual danger and skill involved, not shooting helpless creatures for sport!

I love watching Tim and the others. Their passion for Australian wildlife is infectious. When I adopted my 2 cats back in 2015 in Ballarat, I would let them out during the day and kept them inside sundown to sunup. When I moved to Hervey Bay in 2018 I made the conscious choice to kept them inside 24/7 as I knew that there was more indigenous wildlife here than there was in central Ballarat. Videos/episodes such as this one prove to me the importance of being a responsible cat owner. Please show more vids on the preservation of Australian wildlife.

Feral cats can be devastating to an ecosystem. Owned cats can do a lot of damage as well. Please keep your cats indoors.

Cats are devastating to environments. Our cat is an indoor kitty. She is now 18…being I sure protects her as well…from dogs, cars, and people who hate cats. She runs the house, has our 65 lb dogs standing to attention, lol.

I was over in WA in October 2022 and I spent 1 and a half days visiting Dryandra Woodland National Park with a scientist and tour guide from Perth. Numbats are very hard to see when walking, or even when very slowly driving along the drive trails at 10 km/h. I only saw one Numbat in front of the four wheel drive we were in. Unfortunately, it had very quickly run across the trail from right to left before I could lift my camera up, and zoom in. When we were out walking, the guide claimed she thought she noticed one or two at different times. Visitors passing us on the trail in a 4WD/campervan told us about a spot they had seen a Numbat not far from the trail 10 minutes before. So we stopped and waited, but we didn't see it emerge. Would you believe it, the Numbat exhibit at Perth Zoo was closed in October, due to storm damage. There is a stuffed one or two at the WA Museum in Perth. As well as information. And if you visit Perth, there is a giant Numbat sculpture on the South Perth foreshore, close to the ferry terminal and only about 400 to 500 metres walk from Perth Zoo.

As a noobie to Tims Austrailia, are airguns allowed in use to hunt for feral cats, as alien species in UK are the North American Grey Squirrel, wiping out the native Red Squirrels, by a diesease they carry, Rats , Grey Squirrels, and other pests species are hunted by air gunners here to try and control numbers , was wandering if same could be done in Austrailia to save wildlife under threat, by the way guys great video, of animals , wilderness and things never heard of ? keep it up.

Tough luck. You can trust that they won't do something utterly cruel like trapping and leaving them to starve, but given that they're invasives wiping out the native species, who cares what happens to the "poor" feral cats? They need to be wiped out.

@@GilraenTook they're gonna have to hunt them extensively and manage them like they did with the foxes if native species are going to have any sort of chance at recovery. It also wouldn't hurt to force people to be responsible for their cats and dogs. Most folks want to be responsible and actually do the right thing. But you also got too many who won't unless they're forced to either through fines, jail time or some other coercive measure.

If you're a good shot, shooting them probably IS the most humane option. Just imagine how terrifying trapping would be for a wild animal, and most poisons are just about as cruel as it gets... I refuse to use poison, even for mice/rats. With bullets, if you only shoot when absolutely certain, it's just bang and that's it. Gone.

Marsupials... you only find them in Australia because they were out competed by mammals... for a reason... I don't understand the playing with the ecosystems
