as a 70 year old woman who married her highschool sweetheart almost 50 years ago, for myself and my husband in this season of our lives, all we want is to feel love. outside of our relationships with the lord of love, that translates for us into long sweet embraces and gentle kisses throughout the day. and lots and lots of talking and sharing!

We have had, starting this last summer 2024, a disconcerting, depressing and highly disturbing litany of adulteries amongst well-known Christian pastors. Extra-marital affairs amongst both Christian men and women are as high as those amongst non-Christians. So the above subject is highly significant for the Christian world! I hope that FOCUS will continue to delve with greater intensity on how to have GREAT marriages relating to understanding, developing and experiencing true intimacy with one's spouse "till death do us part" !

I agree. That spiritual connection with Christ being number ONE in a marriage and your family is SO important. If one is living for the Lord and the other isn’t, it won’t matter how awesome everything else is, it will be lacking.

Single people should be supporting married couples. WORDS, mouth, tongue, lip's are all in proverbs. The mouth is a very important thing to address and it should be addressed as soon as possible.

The title should be changed to "Do what the woman needs and maybe she'll fullfill the husband's needs." I follow Jesus and strive to do everything they said and more as I keep myself accountable with other brothers in Christ for support. Can't express how disappointing it is to not only do all this and "Mama NOT taking care of you," but watch other men go through it and then hear sermons like this where its all about the man catering and the woman is just the reciever and give us hope that she'll meet our desires. I'll come across these sermons and listing hoping to hear something different. But all I come accross is that the man's needs and desireds don't matter. Appreciate the prayer she did over the pillow but all those things she prayed to save her husband from should also be what she should be praying over herself to do for him. Very discouraged to keep hearing massages like this. I do agree that men need to do the things mentioned...but what about the wives??? The only thing mentioned was for women to initiate a small percentage of the time. On a positive note, I did like the conversational prayer.

Men (and women) are going to have to start learning about how women work and what women need or they'll never be satisfied or have regular sex. It's because womens needs aren't addressed that women don't want to be sexually active. I mean who wants to do something for years where the other person is really enjoying it and you're just not getting anything from it. And on the flip side who refuses to participate in something they really enjoy 🤷‍♀️ And Btw this isn't only on men as I said. Women need to learn too. But it needs a man that is determined to learn and a degree of selflessness. And it needs a woman to start realising they can enjoy pleasure too. Oh and men : you can help with housework so she has time to explore her body without worrying about all she has to get done.

Well if men have been told what they should be doing why aren't they doing it? This isn't about it being a chore to consider the woman you love it's about the joy of giving and seeing her really enjoying herself. And knowing if she is being cared for she'll be back for more. Women have been giving too much for years and denying themselves. It's time.

i'm trying really hard. We just started marriage counseling at a show called christian counseling. This will be our fifth a visit to this counselor and not one time.Has he mentioned scripture. I think that we are, if not in the last days or the birth pains that we are so close. Women have been trying to overrun men for years.They have grown cold. I always edify my wife. Sometimes I feel like the rolls have switched because I do so much. Got her flowers, she barely looked at them. Pushed them off to the side and continued doing what she was doing. There has to be first AA good relationship with Christ and submission to the holy spirit and a submission to god's word. These things should just be natural in marriage especially a christian marriage.

Yes this is a biblical subject however it is over emphasized and there’s more videos about sex in marriage than videos of how to effectively share the gospel with lost unbelievers on their way to hell without Jesus!!!

What utter nonsense that the image of a woman stays in a man’s mind for 48 hours after seeing them and that they think of them while being intimate with their wife. This is simply untrue and very misleading bitter feminist ideation. I can’t claim to speak for every man, but personally I know this isn’t even close to the truth for myself and I’m willing to bet it’s the same for most other men too. If I see an attractive woman, even if she was indecently exposed, I guarantee I won’t still be thinking of her even 10 minutes later, let alone while I’m being intimate with my wife. When I’m physically intimate with my wife I’m focused fully on her and delighting in her body and closeness, not thinking of someone else or other things.

As a matter of fact, she distrusts so much that my name's not even on the house that I have paid off and totally rebuilt.I just got blindsided with this she refuses. We are a split family. I have my daughter who's 28 married with the Sun. We're very proud of them have their own house. And we have her son who just got married and just got pregnant and got unequally yoked possibly ,he could be not born again. I will endure to the end till I see jesus face. I will be obedient to him.

Same. Very much assuming gender/marriage roles too. A lot of it is just joking around but doesn’t touch on communication of asking what the other wants. Just assumes we all work that way.
