In Devil May Cry there are styles you can switch between that change your moveset. Whenever you swap Dante will say the name of the style ("Swordmaster!" "Gunslinger!" "Trickster"). If you're really good at the game you're switching between the styles so fast he doesn't have time to say the entire name. It's a common joke in DMC combo videos and the like to point this out like I did in my original post. I did it here because he was swapping between weapons and transformations quickly in a very DMCish way while Devil May Cry music is playing.

The worst part is that the Goofy Bombardier command will show up randomly even in this fight where it's crucial. I'm almost OK having it showing up once in a blue moon in mob fights, we have more freedom there, but if a boss is designed with a specific way to fight it in mind, at least let me do something to make the necessary situation commands pop up so I can use them! Other than that, the fight is boring frustrating and repetitive. Actually, not to hate it, but about half the game is boring, frustrating and repetitive (in critical).

@@filosfilos4572 It isn't cruical or necessary. In fact, this form is where he takes the most damage. His base form has 80% damage reduction from most attacks aside from Blizzard. You're just playing poorly.

@@bnhearyza4767 being pushed back all the time feels bad, also you're super open while you attack him in that state so those hands are extremely annoying no matter what you do. You can wait him to finish, or you can rush at him with the risk of being killed by a cheap shot at your back. I find spamming fire while hitting the hands that come at me to be probably the safest option, and I'm not cool with that. I feel like I need to point out that I play without attractions/meals and with a glass cannon build, I don't have fun if I have to waste more time than needed, in the long run it gets repetitive if I don't live on the edge.

@@filosfilos4572 And I play on CMLV1 using a physical build without food or armor. Just gotta play well and be smart. You don't get pushed back if you time your dodges right. And you can actually guard it and use it to damage him via counters. So that's entirely on you. You can defeat some of his hands to stop them from firing at you. They never really hit you from blindspots, unless they were on the camera as they started up their attack and then you turn the camera away from them. Then they'll be able to hit you offscreen. Ideally, you should use multiple transformations and get their Finish Commands lined up for when he transforms. Like, get Mirage Staff and Countershield all ready to go and the use their Finish Command to deal a lot of damage to the boss while remaining invincible. Simba also works well here, in dealing with the hands. But even if you don't do any of this, if you just want to be safe, just walk around the arena for like 20 seconds and he will revert back to his first phase automatically. So yeah, the Goofy Bombardier isn't needed at all and in fact, can be a rather bad move that will prolong the fight.
