Picking the pretty useless ability enhancements was definitely the call for Days, but I’d like to call out Cure in general. Magic is usually pretty good in Days, especially if you invest in it, but the healing spells end up as the biggest exception, and the otherwise cool thing Days does of having each spell tier act different only hurts it further. When Cure only fills a quarter of your health bar at best (and I don’t recall it getting much better at higher levels), you hope for something better with higher tiers, at least as a fresh player who doesn’t know spell tiers aren’t straight upgrades anymore…but then Cura turns out to just be Regen and Curaga is Group Cure. All of them providing rather pitiful healing to the point of making any cast you bring along almost a wasted slot. While they’re permanently lost upon use, items are better at healing by such a large margin that there’s no good reason to ever use Cure over a Potion, let alone the stronger healing items.

Good. This stupid fight thinking he was weak to fire, made me drain my Fire cards and Red Nocturne spamming Firagas and Firas before he died the first time coming from CoM into this fight. He killed me once I ran low. Had me scratching my head for a long while even after beating him on second attempt with a more conventional deck.
