Your are literally the only digital marketer we have come across that talks about controlling for ad efficiency wrt the actual aov that you are experiencing - even meta experts have no idea how to use this feature. It's something we intuited on our own after burning a lot of adspend (for us) and are now trialling. Was great to get a confirmation on strategy and approach. Question: In case you want to advertise an etsy shop which doesnt have META pixel, or CAPI, for a new brand, with 0 social presence online, what type of campaign should we go for, what objective, because I tried going for sales, but ofc ended up with 0 sales and the ad went into learning limited.

This video is great Max! I'm curious why is spend one of the main KPIs you look at? And could you show us what how to determine efficiency?

Yeah! Since we’re using cost controls, ads that get spend have good signal in the algorithm to hit your targets. So spend therefore becomes an indicator of performance. And to determine efficiency you need to figure out what your Paid CAC is based on a predicted first-time AOV. This paid CAC should be chosen based on how much margin you’d like to generate on first order :)
