Yes. The soil needs constant moisture, even while dormant. It needs less over winter but it still needs water.

Absolutely. Just less often, but the soil still needs to be moist.

Got my garlic order from you guys (thanks looks lovely bulbs) but it is still very hot here in Bloemfontein 33-36 degrees I’ve put my garlic in the fridge Will that be ok until mid March ? Or will the garlic die or go off ? Must I buy new ones just before I plant in March ?

Yes, nematodes can be a major issue in infected soils, fungicides will destroy your soils fungal biology as well.

You can use pots or crates just ensure they do t dry out. Spend money on the soil. As they will need good soil for good growth.
