Calling these planes similar is like calling a Ford Pinto and a Tesla similar. The 737 and E175 are enormously different. Nearly 50 years technologically separated. Sure, the system is roughly the same in function but this just has lazy reporting written all over it. To add insult to injury there's not ONE image of an actual E175 anywhere on this clip. And it should say how ENGINE fire extinguishers work, not cockpit, in the caption.

regulations like that would be meaningless, if you can't trust an airline pilot in the cockpit of another airline, you can't trust them to fly an airplane for their own airline.

Do you ride in cars? What if I told you that's actually way more dangerous? You zip by other cars, inches away with a combine speed of 70mph if you're both going 35. Driver could swerve into traffic, or just turn off the engine (and steering if hydraulic, no brake boost when intake vacuum is gone). A front passanger could do the same.
@DarkEmperor246010 ай бұрын
@@heh2k Yup you are correct. Now imagine if there were as many planes in the sky as there are cars on the road - which method of travel would be more dangerous? My problem with airplanes is the threat of gravity or the Y axis if you will. If a car malfunctions or the engine dies, you just pull over the side of the road/put on your emergency lights. If a plane malfunctions/the engines die or get shut off, you're dead.
@JamieOliver7710 ай бұрын
@@DarkEmperor2460 There's more flying space in the sky than driving space on the ground and there are many redundancy systems or designs on aircraft that ensure safety of those in them, more planes in the sky definitely means that there are going to be more airports and places to land in case of an emergency, currently air travel only cause 30.8 deaths per billion hours but cars cause 130 in the same time
@DarkEmperor246010 ай бұрын
@@JamieOliver77 More flying space sure but also a lot more variables for accidents in the air than on the ground. There are currently over 250 million cars on the roads in the United States. Can you imagine 250 million airplanes in the sky? It would be chaos! Air traffic controllers would be the most common job position.

Since a Boeing 737 instead of the Embraer 175 is being shown; isn't it about time the 737 got a redesign of its main landing gear ? By now, with all the revisions this aircraft has undergone since its inception in the 1960's to its current larger and heavier versions like the 700, 800, 900, and now the Max, you would think a dual set of wheels on each side would be in order.😮

@k9er23310 ай бұрын
You may want to look into the specifics of the 9/11 hijackers/terrorists that literally flew the jets directly into their terrorism targets (twin towers and Pentagon). They did in fact take rather extensive flight training and procure, in cockpit, specific flight training in the actual models of the jumbo jets that they commandeered and used for their dirty deeds. There were a plethora of news reports and multiple statements from the FBI and FAA at the time regarding this flight training that was obtained by the terrorists in the cockpits of the aircraft that were flown into the buildings. The only reason the third plane was not able to hit their target in DC, was that a group of brave passengers stepped up and fought the terrorists to the ground in Pennsylvania. So, terrorists can and have "attended flight school" which enabled the 9/11 disaster to occur. @@2Phast4Rocket
