Just a little information to those not familiar with jet engines. When the engines are operating in heavy rain the pilots put on a switch from cockpit that makes igniters (spark plugs) inside the engine go on "continuous fire", meaning they ignite all the time. In the extremely rare event that the engine have a flame out due to rain, it will immediately be reignited. The re-ignition are so fast, that it most often are not able to be seen on engine instruments, in the cockpit. A jet engine are actually slightly more efficient when in damp/rainy weather due to the higher expansion rate the air have inside the engine increasing EPR (Engine pressure ratio) of the engine. The engine pressure ratio are a very accurate indication of your jet engines workings. The EPR indicator in the cockpit are one of the 4 key engine instruments along with fuel flow, engine temperature, oil pressure/temperature.

@@xxjacksparrowxx6742 Not soon enough in my opinion. The North Sea summit agreement will result in 220 million people transitioned from fossil fuel made electricity to electricity from offshore windmill parks. That will not be felt by the consumers really but the REAL revolution are that same agreement will result in more green hydrogen produced daily than produced in the entire world to date. Unfortunately these amounts of green hydrogen will first hit the market in volumes around 8-10 years from now and our planets regulatory systems really are not able to wait that long. We should be at 220 Carbon PPM and are at unprecedented (2022 number) 417 PPM. Glaciology have proven that 30 PPM´s rise above the 220 have triggered long term climate changes causing the 3 largest species extinction periods we have been able to document. My insights are the reason why I left aviation to try to contribute more positively to humanity´s long term survival.

and its basically paying only electricity for what… hours of experience on the yoke and rudder coordination? i mean its great.

ok, believe it or not, this is the most popular video relating to aviation in the city that they landed in aka Balikpapan located in Borneo. i just live around the final approach area of runway 25. very glad that not only the western world is noticing us but the pilots we have too.
