Thank you for this video!!! I cannot seem to get my consistency quite right so this was helpful. I fold laundry really fast so I think I have to just realize it takes a while to get the icing right in the beginning.

Thank you for walking through this, now I don't feel so bad that it takes me so long to get the flood stage right

I use plastic wrap over my icing sealing it directly on top of the icing real well all the way around so it doesn’t form a top chalky crust.

What is the difference mixing with water or milk? Is it taste, the finish or something else

Ok i have dabbled in cookie decorating but want to do them for my daughters baby shower…how far in advance can I make them and then can I freeze once iced or do they keep in the plastic bag at room temp?

What’s a good 2 in 1? I usually end up decorating dozens at a time (Christmas, bday, Easter for fam.) and I don’t want to make 12 pounds of icing and having flood and outline bags all over with all the colors. How do I get that??

I mix my icing from 1-2 minutes. For some reason the result was dull and not shiny. Help please.

It sounds like you could be lacking air circulation! You have to have some air circulating around your cookies if you want that “shine” on them. A heat fan helps to remove the moisture from the icing to help them dry more quickly. You don’t want it blazing hot but also not cooler than your room temp. You don't have to have a heat fan, any kind of fan that circulates the air around your cookies will work!
