Hello Jane, So glad to see you are on KZbin! I miss your "Color Confidential" shows with the actual whole shows. On another note, I'm presently living in a seniors rental and have decided to paint it as landlord for seniors building is not doing it! I'm fully capable so I figured why not! Hence, I have picked out two colors I really love, one is for two accent walls and kitchen, in a "TREE MOSS" by Benjamin Moore, by AURA. Kitchen has a upper cabinet going across or rather above an island with light colored faux oak wood looking cabinets and white laminate counters, which will be another project. Back wall of galley kitchen is adjoined to main living room wall, so it made sense to connect the two with that color and I wanted a light soft green in my kitchen. So walls seemed obvious option to paint. Replacing cabinets not in budget at this time. The other color I've picked is "BABY FAWN" by Benjamin Moore, AURA. which will be used for rest of main area, including closet and storage doors near entrance and into parts of a separate open space adjacent to bathroom door. So far I'm happy with my choices. As previous color was an attempt I believe to create more streamlined look and flow, with the present light beige tone, and I wanted to try and keep things somewhat cohesive. But I also felt the present color is too dark and dull, what with limited sunlight. Which is why I'm attempting to paint a color two shades lighter with less yellow in it. So not my color! My bathroom is the issue presently. Having a hard time deciding, what with buttercup yellow tiles in shower stall, which are all the way up to ceiling. This building was built in mid 70's. As for paint color in bathroom, I noticed the present color has a sort of dusty rose or a light purple tint to it, which appears to be some form of taupe or beige. Who knows when it was last painted?! I have been on Benjamin Moore's site and have noted some color options, which I will be going to store to pick up paint chips for that room specifically. I want to create a more richer and warmer tone and feel for that room. But I don't want to go too dark as this is a rental. If you can offer any suggestions as to paint color that would compliment, that would be amazing! Having a hard time deciding basically. Rental does make it seemingly more challenging as I would need to paint it back to original state one day. So I need a color that is somewhere in the middle, not too dark and not too light if that makes sense. Here are some colors I have chosen to look at: Nutmeg 1227 Lakehouse 1175 Rosedale 1180 Rose Accent 1177 LIght Mocha 2096-60 French Manicure 1086 Drenched Sienna 1182 Silken Moss 237 Santa Rosa 1189 Ciao Bella 1187 Clementine Rose 1219 Grazing Fawn 1220 Deerfield 1159 I love color, but trying to narrow down selection, what with buttercup yellow bathroom tiles. If any colors stand out, that would be appreciated to have a little of your input. Thank you for the video as well! Looking forward to watching many more.

Flashback to colour confidential. I loved that show. It was so creative. I remember a lot about colour and ideas from that show, especially using floors and ceilings more effectively. I love seeing Jane again too, and photos of her current projects. My favourite thing about Colour Confidential was the colour wheel with all the props that related to a design theme. That’s probably my biggest interest now: How to relate theme and colour to avoid decor mishmash? I know colour can tie a design together, but I still default to white when my courage fails me. Great to see Jane again, and look forward to the series and more of her design savvy. 🎨

PS The other accent wall in "Tree Moss" by Benjamin Moore, AURA, is opposite area adjacent to bathroom door area. I've decided to connect that room and lvrm, creating a study area with a desk by second window, and wall space for complimentary artwork eventually. So while sitting in my living room, I can enjoy the beautiful green esthetic, while infusing a little nature inside my suite. and it connects the lvrm and small study area,/gallery wall as well. I will be purchasing a rug by West Elm, called INDRA, for both that area and lvrm. Work in progress for sure.

Great job! I enjoyed watching this even though nothing was new to me (I'm Wendy Goodman). Thank you for saying how opposite colours intensify each other. I can't stand blogs where it says the opposite colour will tone it down. Lots of articles say green walls calm down red woods. So frustrating! Glad there's designers out there like you who are really knowledgeable! Looking forward to episode two! Thank you for taking time out of your busy schedule to do this series! P.S. this video really makes me miss Colour Confidential.

I love the presentation and history of the color wheel! I would love more episodes of how to pick complimentary color schemes, such as warm, cools and creative energy! 😁 Tips of how to decorate an apartment without drilling a hole in the wall in order to put up a curtain rod. Thank you!

I can't even begin to explain how much I've missed you doing this! I learned soooooooo much from Color Confidential 💞 I am still pretty damn confused on the differences and applications of finishes (flat, gloss, eggshell etc) so there's an idea for another video 😏 Here's another 😎 Same paint color but changing tone slightly to brighten a dark corner 🤔

I loved your video. I also love watching the show color confidential. Where you take the color wheel and put little objects on it for the home owners to pick colors for their rooms. Anywhere I can watch any of these shows. Let me know. Have a good day

So very helpful in understanding colours & how adding white or black will change the tonality of any colour. TY for your clear explanation. 😊

Love this! We have a table going into our library/office at home that is a walnut and black table. We are stuck on choosing floor vinyl color to suite the English library feel, and wall colors…can you point me to some ideas?

I can’t figure out what color to paint my door. It is currently beige. I hate it. The brick is brown and gray. The shutters are brown. Help. I didn’t see brown or gray are your color wheel. What do you suggest?
@danstojan32518 ай бұрын
Brown is a shade of dark orange. So when looking at how colours react to one another, brown compliments the same colours as oranges.
@SWEETDFAN178 ай бұрын
Grey isn't on the colour wheel because it is not a colour. Grey is a mix of black and white and is considered a tone.
