I hope someday a man will look at me with the love in his eyes when he looks at Brittany. Am I right ladies? I also inhale and exhale when Brittany does. A habit when she started during pandemic. I’ve watched every build in vanlife and find Spirit the best design for living full time. I’d only change to having some small sliders on either side of bed but agree that would have been hard with the existing van. I also notice the personal touches from their adventure like the Moroccan light above the sink and the pastel painting near the control panel which shows the couple in front of somewhere exotic. I saw you were with Trent and Allie recently and just want you to know how much I appreciate the traditional values and level of commitment of both couples. I have to say though I also see a level of kindness and true spirituality that exists nowhere else in vanlife couples except here.

Just found you guys and I've been watching and following van-life/skoolies/rv-living and so on for many years...how have I missed you guys?...What an absolutely sweet and beautiful couple. I am a grandmother with the blessing of raising three of my 8 grand kids and the 3 girls that live with me full time are very excited about our new adventure. We just purchased our sprinter and are deciding on what's important. A lot of what you said I have already thought through, BUT, hearing you both reaffirm some of the ideas helped immensely as, of course, as first timers we often doubt ourselves and wonder if we will regret this or that and find that we should have could have...lol...Very informative video and done so nicely by a couple of very sweet and loving hearts. THANK YOU. I hope you won't mind an "old granny" following your adventures...thank you both!

The van build and blue print was very amazing. It seems like a very comprehensive well thought out van...bravo! You are doing so well....so healthy and generous too! I love the Brittany breath, communication about all you do...AND....(drum roll)... "PIZZA NIGHT"!!!! My phone service is in the process of changing their systems...I lose service sporadically and I have had what feels like a gazillion "updates" that dominate everything...geesh!....grrrrrr!...snark! Snark! I am doing so much better too. I am mostly pain free and I can walk more....but...covid is tearing up the way I can tend to my walking needs. A lot of people don't want to wear masks and that presents big challenges socially. I am part of the senior vulnerable set....I take all my vitamins, extra protein when I can....and I mind my own "bidnez"... lol! Actually, I am feeling like I need to go to charm school....socially retarded...lol Love you two so very much...your videos are just exciting...the drone shots make me just want to turn into a bird! I remember the first time i saw your shower that comes out of that drawer and i was so impressed! I also love the swing thats hung from the van doorway. Have you considered or is it possible to retool your water situation to do recirculating water? I think its the next essential thing...filtering and reusing the same 2 gallons to shower almost as long as you want. I love the deep breathing! I deal with insomnia and even if its not the total answer, meditation and proper breathing helps me 1 get sleepy 2 sleep deeper 3 feel more energized when im awake! So hearing your deep breaths reminds me to breathe right too.
@Mrandmrsadventure4 жыл бұрын
Even just reading your description of deep breathing made me feel calmer 🥰🙏 and yes, we have heard of the water recirculating technique but perhaps in a future build, I think we’d have to redesign somethings and that’s tricky in a van - we don’t have to refill too often and are able to make our 40 gallons go a long way 💙
@peterandrews41724 жыл бұрын
@@Mrandmrsadventure I just finished putting a recirculating shower in my 2000 Ford van ..If you follow directions in the youtube video " The Hour Shower " it is quite easy ( colapsable 32 inch doggie swimming pool as shower pan )....I did complicate mine by having the option of an inside shower in the middle of the van ( winter )or an outside shower behind the van ( summer )..a couple of shutoffs and Quick disconnects….I put the pump and filter under the van...

I'm Blown Away watching your video, the lead up to 21:40 was so funny😂 and you knew so little but now you know so much. I'm feeling particularly blessed to be alive and well because it's sunk in deeply the other day that I'm one at risk and also have an essential job and come into contact with people every day. When I was little I wanted to hurry and grow and my parents told me be careful what you wish for because when you grow up you'll snap your fingers one day and be old, lo and behold that has happened! Now the days are long and I'm liking it 🤔 except for the reason why they are long! I've had time to reflect on my first Adventure Thursday before Christmas 2019 and it went like this; I started making more money last year and I became complacent, started resting my knees too much like a couch potato and not doing my physical therapy for my back. I turned the air conditioning up and replaced the batteries in my remote controls a lot of times during pity parties, all the while still staying clean and sober so I was feeling the brunt of it. I decided because of the fact I'm never going to become that person that gets himself into a gym. I need to go back to my normal lifestyle and live the van life, exercise force-fed to me and plenty of Adventures to be able to handle the manual physical life. I thought banking money for my retirement would be the motivation to take the first move but what it turned out to be was algorithm. It was Tuesday, all day binge watching vanbuilds, vanlifers and Travelers, some of them your friends and Wednesday I went on street views trying to see the seven sacred pools and then 5 a.m. On adventure Thursday I searched KZbin -stop to smell the roses- at work I noticed a video on KZbin that popped up automatically and it said something about OFF-GRID PARADISE🐬 swimming with #MRANDMRSADVENTURE🇮 I started the video while I was working and I didn't recognize Rocky from any of the other videos so I watch it. I enjoyed my first Adventure Thursday on adventure Thursday because of algorithm♡ That's my story and I'm sticking to it. Almost forgot the reason why all that was said, it was 420 2020 when my back stopped hurting and it's not because I was stoned, that was all mr. and mrs. Adventures good influence on me ❤️

leo p I hear you, I agree, as I too am at the same point of a van build. Currently just have insulation and flooring done with some random purchases like a cook top, and fan. I would love to buy a fridge but depends on where it will go in lay out as a chest fridge or upright.. everything basically comes back to the process of “what lay out” ugh. Cant even put the fan in because I need to know where the solar will go..’Roof lay out” ha. But enjoying the process. I have purchased two other van build downloads but found it was only helpful if you wanted to do THAT specific lay out. They gave lots of detailed measurements that just wouldn’t fit in my 144 medium roof.. so i just started searching out only vans of this size to view.. but couldnt help but watch this video for tips, every little bit of advice helps!

Perfect buildout. When you said "... what every great van needs ...." I was sure you were going to say "Instant Pot!" especially now it comes with an accessory air fryer. It won't replace the oven though for "pizza nite".

“Extra bed for future children”... and what beautiful babies you two will have, inside and out! 🤗 it’s a great idea to share your layout. The one thing I’d add to make this perfect for me is sliding screens for the doors, especially on the side. Yes, I love the great outdoors, but mosquitoes and flying, hamburger-size cucarachas can stay outside... brrrr! 😬🦟🙃😅
@Mrandmrsadventure4 жыл бұрын
💚 Yes, we have a screen that we use on the slider. We just put it on yesterday since we are no longer in the dryness of the desert where mosquitos and bugs rarely exist. We love having the big open door for the view.

Well you guys did well but now found somethings work and other do, so have fun improving to your specifications and now u really know how to do it right. I agree with amount of money in toilet. With the skill set by which many of you have created a home inside a van, you can build your own toilet, cheaply and very user friendly.

I'm looking at building out a van with a very similar layout to yours, so will definitely get my hands on those blueprints! Thank you! I was wondering though: How do you deal with moisture after showering? Do you leave it out until it's dry?
@Mrandmrsadventure4 жыл бұрын
Perfect!! 🤗 We’ll tuck it back away if we aren’t staying put for the day or if it’s raining out, but within the next day or so we will hang the curtain out to dry (usually hanging it on the open passenger door) 🌞

So I have a big question about DIY Conversion insurance. I am having problems getting coverage for my van when it is complete. But an even bigger problem with coverage while I build out the van conversion. I could use some insight on what you did. If I just cover the van and do not inform the company that it will be a conversion in a few months. I would not be covers by all 8 company I talked with. Please Help I would still like to take my conversion to Alaska four months exploring. THANK YOU TWO BUNCHES!!! Love your channel!!! Roger Aka ExBassGuide

We had the vehicle under basic vehicle coverage while converting it and then once the build was done, switched insurance companies to cover the modifications. It's different in every state, but in FL we found the State Farm would cover add-ons/mods to the van. Good Luck!

That was very interesting thank you for sharing. at age fifteen I started dreaming of my first vehicle and I just wanted a Chevy van with a hammock and a macrame betta fish swinging down the road with me. I did end up at the 77 Dodge van back in 91. It was already customized with bed,knotty pine, CD radio and enamel plaquesor on dash the vehicle had won in certain Van shows in the 70s but alas the van is gone.. but not my dreams. 💞🕊️🕊️🕊️🕊️💞

Thank you for showing what to do and what not to do. My husband and I kinda did our van "Carrie" backward. If I would have seen this a month ago I might not have lol. Actually I probably still would have. My only regret about my van is I cannot put a shower or toilet in it. It's way to small for that. I do have a solar shower and a coffee can though. If I hadn't had to have a fixed bed (cause I have had surgery on my back = cage and screws) I was gonna put a toilet under the stovetop and slide it in and out. Still thanks for the inspiration. My next van is gonna be bigger and is gonna have a shower and toilet built in!!

Another video to distract from our confusing times...starts our day off right. Of course...love your van....that's a given. Today my compliment is how seamless the music fits.....sometimes so good it goes unnoticed......its a wonder how you play just the right music for the ever changing video. Curious ....how much time is spent on that aspect?
@Mrandmrsadventure4 жыл бұрын
thank you for taking the time to notice and appreciate 🌹 it really depends, sometimes I find a tune that I think will fit the mood, I drop it in and BOOM it's exactly what I was hoping for. Then there's times when it takes me 30 minutes (or dare I say more) to find the right tune - I'll usually save it for last if I'm struggling and will see as an opportunity to enjoy listening to music in bed that night, until I find the right one, and then can go to sleep with all those nice melodies in my head 🥰

Do you guys like having a dually? How does it perform in snow?

Yes, we really like it. It handles better than a non dually in cross winds and on on-ramps/turns. It has a much greater weight capacity that it can carry without putting stress on the motor. Haven't been in snow with it yet.
