How about a video about taking care of the gloves, inside and outside, do they need greasing? Vaseline is ok for that? What to do with the smell? Talc powder is ok for the inside after training? Can you wash them in the laundry machine like my friend did? If you do that some time cover all types of gloves, leather, synthetic etc.!

Besides the underweight issue, thai gloves are still one of my favourite bang for buck, usually they are expensive, they have a thick good quality leather that lasts for years. I would go for top boxer and such, but I do muay thai. Also great job on the video

Related to the plastic label/plaque thing and the cheap stitching - the worst cut I ever got sparring was from a glove with bad stitching. Over time the seam backed itself out a little and left two sharp corners that split me right open.

Based on Google images, the gloves looks like a rebranded Everlast Pro Style training glove. They aren't the best gloves, but you gotta work with what you have.

genuine leather comes with a stamp in 3 variations. full grain, top grain, and leather. you can easily look up the stamp and it will show you which one is best. than you can tell which gloves are using the best leather be it cowhide or buffalo.

Hey great video, I'm thinking on buying a pair of Seyer Leather Boxing Gloves, the company of Cleto Reyes half brothers where Cleto started his career. Do you have any experience with the brand?

@@expertboxing From what I know, Carlos Reyes founded Seyer and made Baseball equipment, Cleto started working on Seyer when he was 12 years old, he started making his first gloves there. Later they split up due to differences and family issues and cleto founded his own company. Seyer continued making boxing equipment under Carlos Reyes family until the 90's, then Seyer was sold to the Palomares Company. Their vinyl gloves are not very good quality. I think the Leather gloves might be better, they are also pretty cheap.

@@expertboxing I just read it. The 2 brands seems to be really well liked in Europe. I ended up buying a bunch of Rival gear like a couple of days ago. I'm waiting for delivery. I've used their RB10 for a year and am happy with it. Im looking forward to the RS11V for sparring though I kinda wished I had gone with the RS1 Ultra 2.0 and paired it with LaceNLoop. I wanted Velcro because I want to be able to put on the gloves myself. What are your thoughts on LaceNLoop?

you always consider boxing gloves made in Pakistan very ordinary, crape and shit. I don"t know how you assess boxing gloves. most of the world famous brands importing boxing gloves from Pakistan. in the Beggining of the video you said and I quote 'if it's genuine leather it's automatic quality', then further on in the video you go on to say that sometimes they use the bottom cut of the leather, actually the term 'genuine leather' literally pertains to that cut of the hide, the qualities of hide that would be considered higher than that would be Half-grain, then top grain, then full grain. not questioning your knowledge on gloves, just maybe not so much on leather.

You'll have to read my written guide for the full context. But in case it needs to be explained for confused people (or those pretending to be)....leather indeed comes in many different cuts and qualities. The term "genuine leather" only signifies that it's real animal hide. It doesn't guarante that it's quality leather. For example, it could be the crappy split-grain or bonded leather which are terrible. The best is full-grain or top-grain. I never heard of half-grain...I think you meant split-grain. You're welcome to re-read up on it and comment again. I've chatted leather with a bunch of people and in (and with) Italians in leather-specializing region.
