I know it was done as a throw away but IWTV was the best show of 2024. My hot take, it was leagues better than Shogun. It won’t get the recognition it deserves but Jacob Anderson would be more than deserving of a serious nom for acting. He was the center of s2 and moved that story along with a depth and sadness and empathy and he displayed all of those emotions subtly and powerfully. As you can see, I am one of its biggest fans lol.

Totally agree. House of the Dragon dominated the pop culture conversation for eight straight weeks. It’s already an Emmy winner and it’s bound to grow into more categories if HBO campaigns it hard. I would like to see The Last of Us, The White Lotus, Industry, House of the Dragon, and The Gilded Age get into the Drama Series category, all from HBO.
