I know Curry’s last shot was amazing, but we definitely should not overlook Pdziemski’s amazing pass to Steph on that play either. Passing that too directly to Steph and Beal could’ve stole the ball or at least deflect it. Throw the ball too far back and Steph might not be able to catch and end up out of bounds. He has do it just right so Steph can catch the ball without Beal’s interference. This was such a tiny sliver of window to get that just right and he did it. Are you guys sure he is a rookie? 🤔

Finally we are getting a small peak at how smart it was to not make a player trade and to just wait until your veteran players heal up and return to duty. By not trading Gary Payton II, ANDREW WIGGINS nor Moses Moody we see how the best trade is sometimes the trade you do not make. Now if we can get a win against the Utah Jazz on Monday, February 12, 2024 and increase and solidified our 1/2 game lead on the Jazz. Life is Good!

I gotta say it these refs were terrible and one sided at the end...I have seen at least four fouls at the the last 3 or 4 minutes that phx has committed but they called that tick tack foul at the end of the game to give phx another chance to win.....This league has to stop the one sided calls

The worst was Steph getting wacked in his shooting arm just after his 3 pt shot (which he made) and no call, while Booker was getting ft's by intentionally and repeatedly throwing himself into defenders who were retreating with arms up and still only making marginal incidental contact. The double standard against one of the biggest revenue making stars in the league is just bizarre.

The announcer said the pass wasn't great. It actually was. In fact, it was perfect. If it had been a little more inside the defender could have deflected it, winning the game for the Suns. Like a QB who throws the ball where only the receiver has a chance to get it, not the defender, Podziemski did the same. You'd think the color announcer would see that. Podziemski should get a well-earned assist for that pass.

I think this has been true during the entire dynasty. I have no idea why the dubs (and Steph in particular) have had so many obvious missed calls over the years, but I think it forced the dubs to play as close to perfect defense as possible, which forced them to become defensive juggernauts year after year. Whether they can keep it up remains an open question as the core ages and slowing athleticism makes perfect defense harder to play (especially when your opponent doesn't have to do the same), but it looks like the youngsters are picking up the baton as the vets are slowing down. If that is true and becomes consistent, the dubs might have another run or two in them before Steph retires.

It really was, but Podz wasn't sure in the moment. He discusses the pass, and in the throwing motion had to adjust because Beal was coming hard. He mimicked his own release of the pass, and if you go back to watch the replay you can see his jerky reaction as the ball leaves his hands. To me it looks like at the last moment he realized he had to pass it farther behind curry, but to adjust he had to take something off the ball. the pass didn't seem as crisp as you might expect. But in the event, it was a perfect pass -- for Curry to take an amazing turnaround and sink it. Podz reminds me a bit of GP2 in several ways, including defense. I wanna see them together on the court clamping down an opposing backcourt.

I hope someone from the league is watching this, or is studying this stuff as carefully as Eric has, so that it can see the missed offensive fouls by Booker. At the end of the game, Booker is not attempting to catch the pass. He is simply backing in to Wiggins and collapsing as if he'd been shot. So many of the fouls called for Booker involve Booker extending his arm to make contact. I understand it is difficult, but the knee jerk foul call against the defender after the the shooter stiff arms the defender needs to be taken out of the game or called an offensive foul.
