Explain the physics in this video

The incoming ball accelerates the more the closer it gets to the magnets. Then its basically invisible high speed gets transfered up the column and to the last ball.

The magnetic force is also non linear so as it gets closer, it accelerates a lot more which gives the impression to the regular speed that it was traveling slower than it is when hitting the cradle, so the projectile seems weird.

Absolutely. Most of the videos of this have a magnet with a different shape so the fact it is a magnet is obvious. I thought it would be fun to disguise the magnet to make people have to think harder about what is happening.

It's a mass relay. There's a mass-free tunnel of space-time fueled by element zero between this mass relay and the other where the ball is headed at warp 9, in fact we are only seeing the residual image of the steel ball.
