Thanks for the video ! It is not exact science and will never be but probably the best way to get close to desired depth is - as You said - to check when the lure hits the bottom ... so for example we can measure the line and mark on 20,25,30... meters and then with specific lure, amount of line and speed if it hits the bottom on depth let's say 10m we move to more shallow water until it doesn't hit the bottom (or the other way). This method is time consuming nasty piece of work though. So probably the best way is just to get practice during fishing and then after some time it just comes automatically. Salute !

bedankt voor de video. ik heb alleen nog 2 kleinen vraagjes. ik vis (trollend) vaak op het sneekermeer. ben net begonnen. Het Sneekermeer is erg ondiep behalve in de vaar guilden, en het is erg troebel water. wat raat je aan kwa snelheid nu in de zomer periode. En is het beter om nu wat kleiner kunstaas te gebruiken. nogmaals bedankt voor alle gave video's

I always hear pike always look up. How does it come that i catch a insane amount of big pike on the bottom with jigs designed for bass? Or on a jika rig 3 small hops let it sit 3 repeat. They even get my nedrig on the bottom when fishing for snoekbaars and perch! 😂 I get more bites of big pike fishing swimjigs slow very close to the bottom! When i fish higher in the water column i wont get any bites. All summer this happend! I fish a lot on wolderwijd!

Yes sometimes even more, depending on the water temperature. Usually when it gets colder they will be less eager to cross big distances

Bedankt voor de info mannen maar blijf ik toch elke keer zitten met de vraag...hoeveel gram werpgewicht hengel is er nodig voor zulke grote swimbaits ? Bij trollen zal het vast iets zwaarder mogen kwa werpgewicht dan wanneer je gaat spinnen maar er moet ( hopelijk ) ook nog een mooie snoek geland worden. Ik heb je eerder een mooie snoek zien landen met een kapotte hengel :))

Eigenlijk niet, je hoeft namelijk niet te werpen. Zolang de hengel maar genoeg ruggengraat heeft, in mijn ogen belangrijkste factor. Ik trol bijv. aasjes van 7-800gr met hengels van 240gr
