Nice Vid thanks! How about the atmospheric Pressure? Is it included in the static pressure or do i just add it to the left hand side of the pressure relation equation?

How would you calculate the stagnation temperature and pressure at the throat where Ma = 1?

You would just plug M = 1 into the equations. The resulting equation for P0 or T0 would then simply be a function of either P and gamma, or T and gamma. I have a video about this: kzbin.info/www/bejne/oJ-1ppewo7qkeq8

Is there a reason why you denote velocity with u? Would think this is bad practice in thermo calculations since u = internal energy, and has no relation to velocity...

your notes at the end mean like, if you have an input M1= 3.8 it is natural to get Po1/Po2= 0.16447031, right? so if someone ask you what is the Po2 or Po1 of M1=3.8?.... is it correct to say that the answer is, 0.16447031?

Can you tell me why stagnation pressure is used in say compression calculation for example. I see it alot, but is it not a "ficticious" value since you cant realistically get all the energy from the flow?? Or is it usually done for other purposes like its convenience, like in assessing the harnessing of kinetic energy from the flow? Sorry very confused with this. Love the vids by the way

Hello, thank you for the great video ! I understand everything except the final notes at the end. I dont understand why we can use the equations even if it's not adiabatic or reversible flow. And i dont understand the relations you wrote. Can you help me on that please ? Why T01=T02 everytime for example ?
