We all know, for which religion, this law will cause harm. You should be ready to accept your spouse in the religion with which they were born. If not, then f**koff! And our country is not secular. Indira inserted the word "Secular" by 42nd Amendment during the emergency in 1976. So stop treating India as Secular. It is a Hindu Rashtra that allows Muslims and other religions to stay peacefully with us. If they shackle the peace, they will be destroyed.

Why does not @newslaundry go to the rural areas of Uttra Khand and talk to tribals who were converted by enticing them with employment and other benefits. They are just interviewing the city goers where this issue does not exist so much. They should understand that India is 60% rural and by interviewing only "cities" they are giving no perspective of whats happening in rural India on this front. And that also happens because of the provisions of the special marriage act, which too says that the marrying couple should appear before the SDM 30 days prior to marriage and their declaration would be made public for any objection. Moreover for a Hindu Man if his marriage is registered under this act, he will be no longer the part of Hindu undivided family. So most of the interfaith couple take this shortcut of conversion. The main motto of the govt is to stop the inter faith marriages, unless they will amend the Special Marriage Act. Understood?

Just 5 questions : 1) IF couple leave UP and get married on any other state of India, then come back to live in UP 😂 2) what if the couple say we don't believe in any God they are Atheist get married, then join back to their religion. 3) what if the couple had sex before marriage, the women gets pregnant and then they plan to marry. 4) what if the bride and groom enter an written agreement that both will not force convert eachother and then get married. 5) what if a hindu man does same to muslim girl, does the law still apply.
