On 4 May 2024, a man was allegedly killed by a mob in Punjab's Ferozepur over allegedly committing sacrilege at a Gurdwara. This is the 15th sacrilege-linked death in Punjab since 2015. I am a Sikh. In a way Sikhism itself was borne out of "beadbi" - open critique of prevalent religious tradition of the time - which Sikhs openly talk about in religious sermons. Guru Nanak was I a way "a free speech absolutist '' - "Ros na ki jiye , uttar dijiye" being guru 's bani 's message . Sikh community is being radicalised by politically motivated extremist clergy .

Punjab is a Sikh majority state . Majority of police force and law enforcement agencies are state controlled yet the police fails to take actions to deliver justice to majority community. There’s only one reason for this and that is the state government wants such incidents to happen and benefit from the communal violence.

Why do beadbi in the first place? Every action has an equal and opposite reaction. If you provoke religious sentiments and expect nothing will happen to you, then you are in the wrong impression. Cow vigilanties for an example, if killing someone is a justice then you cannot claim this one wrong.

This is totally wrong... This is totally a political stunt. Sikh might not be hindu but 100 Hindus are sikh. Guru Granth Sahib ji is our guru. No hindu could not even think of doing such acts. My analysis - 1. Doing such acts is very inhuman what any one will get doing such things. 2.Those who involved in such acts of beadbi are from very poor family background. High chances of offering them money or life threats. 3.If this is done because of religious hatred against Sikhs. There are thousands of gurudwaras outside where hindu are high in population. Why such acts are only happening in Punjab. 4.Might be the 3rd men behind these acts. After 1984 there is always a matter of tension between Hindus and Sikhs in Punjab. We can see from last 20-25 years. Following Hindus and Sikhs fights Christianity spreaded very fast. There might be Christian missionaries or political people behind this.
