Surely Sikh soldiers had a fierce reputation, but they were known to be fiercely loyal with following orders... May be that is one of the reasons why the Sikhs, along with Ghurkas were chosen at the Jallianwala Bagh to open fire at the innocent crowd! Their history is a gold mine of bravery and valor. Just one instance, in the battle multan one of the main cannons was damaged and its wheel broke. In order to continue firing it would have to be supported on both ends. The sikh soldiers lined up and laid the cannon on their shoulders. Each time the cannon fired the soldier supporting it would be blown to bits. The commander was the first sikh to die this way, then the rank after him. The fort was won because of their sacrifice.

Then there came that 6.5 feet guy with a Turban and a beard bigger than my career,he came alone took the had of the man ,told me to back off.and the faces of those man ,they didn't know what to do ,he came and one started pulling a knife (chura) to scare the Sikh ,my man had one too , what we all didn't know that the people nearby were Sikh people,in a blink of an eye , the gang member charged and the Sikh man got a cut on his hand , i don't know what happened to me but i took my heavy show in my hand and throw towards the attacker . But when i saw the Sikh man face ,i saw literally nothing,he didn't even wince from the wound (the wound needed stitches 2) ,he was stoic as a rock,than the Sikh told me to run . Because of how stupid i was when i thrown the shoe some of them seriously was going to unlive me. I don't know how when but the Sikh attacked them with his bare hand (other is damaged) he handled 7 of them until one of them went to retrieve gun ,i literally froze when i saw that .but ,here came 7 or more Sikh out of nowhere with sword ,and KATAR all are 6 feet and massive amount of body. I saw a man with a gun get scared and he ran like bi..ch Rajveer bhaiya,if you are reading this post today is my birthday and this is the 4 year mark of our story ,and thank-you for everything you did. We preferred to be called punjabi and yes I know Punjab right now comes under the territory of India but that’s not by the choice of Sikhs living in Punjab . It has happened by commuting numerous amount of genocide from the last 70 years under the banner of operation blue star , operation shudi Karan, operation wood rose etc . Our religious kings and Maharajas like Ranjit Singh, and Baba Banda Singh bahadar established KHALISTAN two times in the history, PANJAAB is / was / will be different land from rest of India . He also served in the 2nd World War. In 1940, he commanded the 127th Infantry Brigade as it fought in France and was one of the units evacuated from Dunkirk. He later commanded the 17th Infantry Division (India) against the Japanese in Burma. During the retreat from Burma in 1942, he wanted to set up a defensive line on the Sittang River, but was refused and told to hold the west bank. They were driven back by the Japanese and Smyth decided to blow up a bridge crossing river, trapping 2/3 of the Division on the east side of the river. This decision is believed to be the decisive moment in the Burma campaign that allowed the Japanese to capture Rangoon. The following day only 3,484 out of 8,000 men were able to muster. They had 550 rifles, 10 Bren guns and 12 Thompson smgs. Smyth was sacked and never received another post. He wrote a book about this disaster in 1979 called "Milestones" and helped changed the official history of the battle.

Some corrections dear "Sura" not Shora... Sura comes from Soorma... means a brave person... Jo lade "Deen" ke het... Deen not teen...Deen meets Dharm... his responsibility....as in Deen-i-ilahi etc.... "Kabhau " not Tabahun.. Kabhau... from Kabhi.... Sura so pehchaniye, jo lade deen ke het.. purza purza kat mare, kabhau na chhade khet.

Its the culture of sacrifice that was started by the founders of Sikhism themselves. First founder Nanak was incarcerated by Mughal emperor Babur, the fifth founder Arjan was tortured to death for compiling the holy Granth sahib, sixth founder Hargobind was jailed by Mughal emperor Jahangir, ninth founder Tegh Bahadar was beheaded at Chandni Chowk, Delhi while the tenth & last Guru Gobind Singh fought multiple battles against then rulers, losing all four sons, and his mother in the process. And in the end he was stabbed by assasins sent by a Mughal warlord which later led to his death. With such remarkable leaders, how can anyone calling himself/herself Sikh show cowardice in battlefield?

This is just one small example of the legendary Sikh bravery. Throughout history, our Sikh ancestors fought numerous such battles. The most remarkable thing is that the Sikh population was 1% of the total Indian population before 1947, and even in our state of Punjab, the Sikh population was just about 15%. Yet, their achievements on the numerous battlefields far exceed their small population.

Sikh are the kings. Their turbans are their crowns. Their facial hair are akin to lion's beards. They're lions. Fear is something which is not in their skin. The fertile land of Punjab grows every kind of crops and along it bravery and honors in it's soil. Despite the cruel partition done by these British bastards, I still adore my Sikhs and Punjabis all over the world. May their arm-handel moustaches keep pointing upwards. Amen!

@@babber2536 to be honest, fairly sayin we cannot get rid of the caste system under sayin that the communities set upon a harsh black past , which blocks a part of fulfilling humanity instead of self respect, i.e on which caste ure born in. Even today , so called "Islamic republic of Pakistan " has this tribalistic , systemic castic society of proving their lineage attached to them by backward indians ( ancestors ) of which theyre the converted result of . This type of castic racist identity is still proudly , vividly prevalent even in bangladesh, even going so far as our ancient ancestors to the mix of indians we are today , the iranians/ indo Iranians feel proud of this similar identity of origin. See theres sm you can do without that crude mentality poppin up
@babber25362 жыл бұрын
@@dendaGulliLapoch we might not be able to get ride of castism , but speaking from religious prospective of the sikhs that born between 14th to 19th century , we may actually get ride of this castism as it was literally almost vanished . and hence no sikh general ever showed any egoism or influence towards their castes . It all started when people of our community got brainwashed after the Brits colonial rule came over . The greedy leaders who had nothing to do with religion or faith started using it again to manipulate and break down the unity of our community and after the independence of india in 1947 things got out of control completely because of the heavy influence and assimilation into other major cultures of other religions . For example Hinduism . Where people learn the actual root to spread the casteism and superstitions .

@@babber2536 yeah but the misls were terrible , it was only during maharaja ranjit singh jis kingdom that everything went 'sorta' in the sikhi way , altho he was a drunkard and a hypocrite also going out of the way marryin a muslim and other wives as well. There too was egoism in the misls as well as the courtyard correspondents , all for power within the kingdom that lead religion go astray . 2 facts is that they were drunkards and drug addicts even before maharaja ranjit singh ji, and his kinship absolved castes , rituals and practices tagged with islam as well as hinduism for that for the welfare of all as per sikhi , freedom of speech (not the blasphemous kind) , freedom of expression, freedom of gender equality and identity. Yeah today as well , even if we get a 'khalistan' it wouldnt be ruled independently and better than maharaja ranjit singh jis time.all the Indian hindus look at is destroying the culture as well as sikhi traditions and involve "shudh hindu" on us , and of that of a sanathan hindu. This lowly mentality is almost eradicable as punjabis (haryanvis + himachali s+ Jammu punjabis) are as divided as before , all thanks to Brits , gandhi , jinna , and esp Indira and her daddy nehru.
