This series has been so relaxing I’m not ready for it to end, it’s low-key become a Routine that I do my skincare get into bed with a hot chocolate and fangirl about the 60s for 20 mins of a evening

You did a great job but you are right that there was a lot going on then in fashion and it's hard to nail down in less than twenty minutes. Keep up the good work.

Thank you! These videos could be sooo long and it’s always hard to figure out what to include and what not. So it means a lot to hear that this is a good summary 💌

Nice wedding dress. I like the unique styling. By ’68 I was in junior high school. The girls were wearing shorter and shorter skirts. Rumor had it that there were two thick measuring sticks in the principal’s office. One for corporal spanking of misbehaving boys (they did that back then) and the other for measuring how far above the knee a girl’s skirt was. Offenders were sent home to change into more appropriate attire. Those that made the fashion violation round trip tended to become the most popular. At the time, blue jeans for boys weren’t allowed at school. That’s what I changed into immediately upon walking home from the school bus. If nothing else, Lincoln Junior High was obsessed with keeping any rebellion at bay as it swirled all around us. By November of that year, Richard M. Nixon managed to finally claw his way into the White House because he had a “secret plan” to end the war. Turned out it was the “crazy bastard” theory. The idea was the North Vietnamese would be completely afraid of Tricky Dick; they’d accept any resolution. SPOILER: It Turned out they weren’t the least bit afraid; they delayed negotiations due to the shape of the conference table, and the war intensified as the older boomers became wartime fader (except for those with bone spurs).

The most iconic movie of the year 1968 was, in my opinion,Franco Zeffirelli's"Romeo and Juliet " which embodies all the 60's youthful spirit and vibe ❤❤❤

Hi 👋 1968 , i remember the pop music , and it came out of America. It was coined Bubblegum pop. Groups such as 1910 Fruitgum Company with their song Simon Says , Ohio Express and their groovy song Yummy , Yummy , Yummy , and The Cowsills with their hip song Indian Lake were favorites of mine that year.

So good to see Barbraaaaaa❤❤❤❤ King Crimson debuted their first album in 1969 and I love to think how people in 1968 had no idea the brilliant music that was about to drop!! 🥰

Emma, have you done a video on Laurel Canyon? That might be fun. Another idea is to make a video on how to thrift for vintage 60's and 70's clothing

Fun fact, this year’s calendar actually matches the 1968 calendar! So you and Sharon got married in matching dresses and matching years 🧡🧡

Look at you went to México! Most people don’t event tell or know what had happened there in Mexico City on 1968. Even my uncle was just passing by and capturing photos of the chants and protests that were benevolent. All of a sudden, he had an injury that lasted days to recover. (If ya want to make things romantic..lol…he met my aunt in-law where he was cured by her and her mom) And most definitely, it was a horrible 😩 event that happened in Mexico City, which still to this day, it was an absolute hainess act what the government did.

1968 another great year , others great album that released that year are " In a gadda da vida " by Iron butterfly , " wheels of fire" by Cream , " in search of the lost chord " by Moody Blues , " S. F Sorrow " by The Pretty Things. Sharon Tate was so talented and beautiful. 1968 was released a movie that I really like called Diabolik, production Italy/France , it's a great mix of pop art , optical art Psychedelia and futurism

Jenny Boyd, (Patty Boyd's younger sister) was also a beautiful model in the 60's. She inspired folk singer, Donovan to write a song for her, called "Jennifer, Juniper" She was also photographed on Donovan's album playing the flute at Bodham Castle in England. I was a huge Donovan fan and thought she was such a lucky girl to be his girlfriend for awhile. She was involved and in love with Mick Fleetwood of Fleetwood Mac and married him (later to divorce.)

Yes! I adore her! I’ve decided to save her story for the mid 70s when talking about Fleetwood Mac but you’re right she was a true muse in the 60s too! 💌
