Wow such a hugely informative video that's greatly needed. Never seen a sample library company reuse so much stuff between libraries.
@IlkoBirov3 жыл бұрын
Spitfire have done this in the past, as well.

Honestly it’s very annoying. Should’ve just put everything in Nucleus and called it a day.

1:04 That means if I already got Jaeger, Nucleus offers: - Pizzicato for all 4 strings - Woodwind sections - 4 traditional tonal percussion - Choir sections - 6 soloists
@johnhill7622 жыл бұрын
Wow I finally have real pizzicato now? YES. The lack of pizzicato in Jaeger was pissing me off. Sweet. Nucleus definitely has a lot more to offer.
@cachelesssociety5187 Жыл бұрын

To sum up: if you buy Jaeger you already own 80% of Audio Imperia libraries. Holy crap!

Yup.
@antkn333 жыл бұрын
But jaeger doesn’t have woodwinds correct?
@CoryPelizzari3 жыл бұрын
@@antkn33 No, only the brass and strings. Technically Nucleus is the biggest bang for buck when comparing the two.
@johnhill7622 жыл бұрын
@@CoryPelizzari Agreed. Jaeger uniquely has a (good) vocal library and some epic perc. Nucleus uniquely has solo instruments, woodwinds, orchestral perc, a (great) choir, and a (decent) harp. Jaeger has extra articulations in its string and brass compared to Nucleus. But other than that, Nucleus seems to have a lot more.
@thisislance4 жыл бұрын
I have and like Jaeger and Nucleus. What I don't at all like is that I'm effectively storing duplicates of patches across the two libraries, since the NKX files don't show which instrument is which and I therefore can't delete some to save space. People say "storage is cheap," but I don't love the idea of buying an extra SSD when some basic cleanup should have done the trick, were it actually possible. Many others, like Spitfire Audio's Albion libraries, at least separate out perc vs high strings vs low strings (and so on).
@johnhill7622 жыл бұрын
AGREED. Just bought Nucleus. Like… why can’t we just consolidate the patches somehow? Like use one patch for both libraries or just have Nucleus borrowing the Jaeger vocal and perc (so it just lets you delete the redundant patches you already have in Nucleus). Needlessly using up storage for no reason!
@ericday4923 жыл бұрын
I bought Areia during the intro sale for $299 and then a few weeks later I picked up the NKS bundle which contained Jaeger, Talos, Cerberus, Legacy and Trailer Guitars 2 for 399€. Hindsight is 20-20, so had I know this info I probably would have just gone for Nucleus during the same sale and I would have spent $299. So, I have spent quite a bit more than I needed to, but I am certainly happy that I started to hear about this overlap a few months ago, because if not I would have picked up Nucleus during the winter sale. Dodged a bullet there. Well, now all I need are some woodwinds, so I might go with CSW, although I think I'll wait for an update thanks to you, Cory. Thanks again for looking out for us and showing off all these libraries and essentially doing the best "try before you buy" on the net.

I don't know how you possibly figured out all of this overlap. I can only imagine a giant scratch sheet of a notebook with different colored lines drawn all over the place to figure this out. I don't actually own any of the Audio Imperia libraries, but I do think they sound pretty decent.

Yes, how DID he figure it out.....Seems like a difficult task unless he scanned the files using a duplicate file scanner.

It is not only shady, but rather incompetent way to make anything, without a doubt.

Oh wow I was looking for that, thank you so much for going so in detail of which libraries overlap with others I want to go with Areia and potentially upgrade to nucleus, but I have no idea if that crossgrade is possible, I'll ask them as you said but if anyone knows please let me know Also one last question, I've seen a similar library that when on sale is 100$ from output called Analog Strings, do they compare with that? like if you take the clean preset of analog strings versus Areia's strings
