It was exclusive experience while riding in Vande Bharat express recently. .. it was very relaxed and bump free ride... vaccum toilets were very clean... only drawback found was wheel traction sound which was very loud and can easily muffled down further... executive class seats are too big with very wide legroom, average height Indian male can't reach to footrest attached to bottom of front seat... revolving seats is something new addition by Indian railways...

In my point of view it is good but not better because the ticket rate is quite high. We use regular locomotive engines to increase the top speed it is possible to gave a better journey in less time. Then we also improve normal German (red colour ) coaches to support locomotive to reach high speed in less time. In the same way we fixed affordable price

@rishav2205 Жыл бұрын
Maglev is not a technology that we need in my opinion it's just a gimmick.
@smartrider41 Жыл бұрын
Why can’t we dream about acquiring such technologies. What if we can travel from the Kanyakumari to Delhi in less than 10hrs with trains speeding in 400kmph or more. Currently it takes more than two days. Also in cities like Mumbai, Delhi etc airports are already congested. That’s where the high speed trains come into play. India is growing in population, over taken China recently. Trains can accompany more people than airlines and can work with electricity. Maybe in 10-20 years we’ll have it.
@rishav2205 Жыл бұрын
@@smartrider41 Well 400km/h is not exclusive to maglev, bullet train are capable for this for ex japan's alfa x shinkansen & china 's fuxing what's wrong with maglev is that it's not a cost effective and not a stable technology currently, Japan already developed this 25 years ago still it's not available commercially because they are also aware that it's not feasible look at the shangai maglev of china which is the only commercial maglev currently but a short one on high loss more than 90% of loss because no passenger see that as a serious mode of transit. Now see if these countries are having problem how can we think about india how can we directly leap to this when we don't even have hsr network & trains are running hours late it will another 2 decade to become maglev a sustainable & stable reality not the prototype one and that too will only limits to china & Japan not for india the example you gave delhi to kanyakumari is not practical because in the cost of this we can build 5-6 bullet train routes.
@gurbirbhullar8549 Жыл бұрын
But it does not travel at 160 kmph. Speed is less as what is advertised. It reaches destination on time because it has been given priority but average speed is much much less than 160 kmph.
