Most certainly not. If it did work it would have been exploited and industrialized long ago, resulting in cultural domination by the first country to use it on scale. Especially if we're talking about luck. If you want to prove this wrong you can make an repeatable experiment, publish a paper, and then have others replicate this to prove it's existence. This would advance humanity to a degree varying on what you're talking about.
