I noticed the background changes but just assumed you were switching up what room you were filming in. It never occurred to me that you were in different houses.

You ever see someone and think “Man, she’s got it all together!”? I felt that way while watching your videos and for you to give us a glimpse into your real life was nice. Just nice to see that others can have chaos too, and that it’s ok. So thank you for sharing with us and I wish you the best on your amazing journey and the memories you’ll make with your family.

anytime anyone mentions 'December 2019' anymore, you know EXACTLY what's gonna happen next in their story 😂 (laughing rather than cry, i realize a pandemic is not funny)

It's funny that you're a traveling doctor, and your husband is a web developer. My boyfriend is currently a traveling physical therapist, and I'm a data analyst/graphic designer. We've been moving around during the pandemic to some awesome places in the US, but it's going to be over soon because my workplace is restarting in-office operations. My bf and I always figured having a family meant staying put in one place, but hearing your story is inspiring!

I seriously thought you lived in a giant 7 bedroom house and kept choosing a different, quiet, room to film in.

I swear I saw you at the hospital in April when I was admitted for an emergency early delivery of my twins. If it wasn't you, I was still reminded of your videos which helped me. I was a complete mess since the early delivery wasn't expected and the boys had to spend a few weeks in the NICU.

I lived in Hawaii briefly for work. I admittedly have mixed feelings when I see news of someone moving there. On the one hand I absolutely loved it there, it’s so beautiful-the landscape, the culture, the history-and I think everyone who has the chance should visit. But on the other hand, after living there I learned more about Hawaii’s tragic history with colonialism and tourism, which has contributed to Native homelessness as mainlanders and people from other countries move in, develop, inflate property values, and make it harder for Native and long-time residents to afford to live in their own home. So as much as I loved the place, it didn’t feel ethical for me, a white mainlander, to stay. I realize it makes me a bit of a hypocrite to preach to others about not moving there since I already did, though. I also don’t know how much one white person choosing not to stay really helps Native causes. I guess I just want to say: I’m happy you have this opportunity, but I’m also glad it’s temporary, and I hope everyone who moves to Hawaii has done their research on colonialism and Native history, and is making an informed decision about it.

What has the kids’ schooling looked like? I can’t imagine two working parents and two homeschooling kids plus two toddlers! I surely doubt there is ever a dull moment :)

Oh wow, what a journey! I am in complete awe of your strength. I cannot imagine being a doctor, having 4 children, moving around so much...ALL AT THE SAME TIME. You are so inspiring! I would love to see a video about how you manage your time to accommodate everything. Wishing you and your family all the best on this adventure <3

Take lots and lots of photos, MDJ! As a child who was born overseas, travelled with the family extensively overseas and still lives overseas, nearly 40 years later, I wish I had taken more photos when I was younger. But in those days, it wasn’t so easy lugging all of those photos and negatives with you, when you moved countries. If she could have, my Mum would have taken a hard drive with her thousands upon thousands of photos from Africa with her to Asia, when we moved to Singapore. We are still discovering odd photos of our Africa days amongst my Grandparents belongings, since they passed away.
