For months now we have been witnessing the incredible capabilities of the James Webb Space Telescope (JWST) as it observes the universe like never before. We have seen distant planets such as Jupiter and even Neptune. We have seen colossal galaxy mergers, ancient stars and even the regions where new stars are born. In this video, we will look at one of the latest images captured by JWST, revealing a magnificent spiral galaxy similar to the Milky Way, that is surrounded by galactic fossils. Which are ancient galaxies as they looked when the universe was still in its infancy. Sit back, relax, and enjoy the universe like never before.

This video was originally meant to be a KZbin Short, however, I couldn't fit the information into a 1 Minute long video, and the image is far too incredible to rush. So here is the longer version! If you enjoyed it, tap the like button and I will start making these shorter (but not short) image description videos more often. Thanks for watching! V

Hermes Trismegistus would argue, that is what brings us as humans so close to the creator of all this, and it is our godly purpose to learn as much as we can about the universe, the more we know the universe the closer we are to the mind of the creator. But the spirituality aside, I like twinkly shiny stars 🙃

It's fascinating and frightening at the same time for me how huge the universe is. I mean, it's so huge we can't even begin to imagine the depths and magnitutes these stars and galaxies have. On those photos they look small and measurable, but these things are huge, extremely huge, so huge that huge doesn't even come close and the pure thought of it makes me uncomfortable but curious at the same time. The same feeling I have with black holes.

The sad thing about life in other galaxies is that we'll never be able to interact with it. Ignoring that we're looking further and further into the past the farther away a galaxy is, communication within the bounds of our own galaxy would already be difficult and the millions to billions of years information would take to travel from one galaxy to ours would make communication outside nigh impossible.

Probably, but they also haven't gottan an idea of interstellar travelling or communication bewteen galaxies, or are just unlucky and got demolished by some intergalactic event like an asteroid, supernovas or pulsars. They have to have a similar condition like we do, with a Jupiter like Giant, who keeps dangers away and an asteroid belt big and plenty enough to shield us from most outsiders.

@MinasTsambanis
@MinasTsambanis Жыл бұрын
@@bazpearce9993 There's always something new to learn. Especially from a world that was photographed a couple of times by a very fast spaceship. In that case, why did they used to take pictures from Neptune and Jupiter? Jupiter has Juno in orbit.
@bazpearce9993
@bazpearce9993 Жыл бұрын
@@MinasTsambanis The gas giants are dynamic, active worlds. Ever changing with new things happening all the time. Pluto just sits there like a piece of icy rock doing nothing. We've seen all there is to see. Webb can tell us things about these worlds using IR data. Juno can't do much beyond take snaps and look into Jupiter's atmosphere, magnetic fields and so on. Let me ask you. Why are you complaining as if you're offended by the insignificance of Pluto? Is it because you're an astronomer who thinks it's worth more of a look? Or coz you're one of those ridiciulous "Pluto is still a planet" arseholes? My first guess would be the latter. GET OVER IT!
