For everyone’s knowledge of an gyro, it’s short for gyroscope. Well what is it?, simply put its using an object’s momentum force to stay upright. For example, take a bike wheel. What happens if you place it on the ground? Obviously, it falls over. Okay, now let’s spin the wheel and let it roll. The wheel now no longer falls over until it reach a certain speed. A gyroscope is super useful to keep an object upright and prevent it from falling over like an hovering jet or a motorbike. It has a ton of applications in real life, from toys to fighter jets to complex walking robots and machines. Essentially you can use it in areas you want to keep up in the “up” position. Or you can use it in parts that you want to keep upright while the rest of the object moves like ball in Jurassic Park. The seats stays upright while the ball case spins.

Hi! i was one of the first few that made a drive like this, i made mine around an hour after update initial update release! mine just has the motor on the other side. But its sad to see people saying i got my build off here :C cool concept though!

after you said the uni joint could be used as a mech arm, i started thinkly dinkling and i came up with an interesting idea that now that i think of it might not work well, but basically cool mech arm in small package using a uni joint and a ball joint for mouse control, could probably make that taunt kill the engineer has with the gunslinger or whatever it is where the hand spins and you kill anyone in range of it

0:48, you mean it does allow, you can disable the axis the gyro is enabled by clicking the buttons on the physical block

a gyro keeps the thing its attachted to straight and upwars, like the first gyro train

With universal joints, its probably, possible to make such big mechanisms that, on example, grab parts on lever flick. You can make literal systems of these blocks already and its very useful.

I keep trying to make stuff with the ball joint mouse follow mechanic, and whenever I push it so it follows my cursor then most of the time it gets stuck in one rotation and doesn't budge. Hope the devs fix ball joints.

Fun fact: you can turn on the mouse control without needing to push it by putting pistons near the ball joint and having them CRUSH the ball joint, which it takes it as force and automatically turns it on, your welcome (Yo arcey, i know that i am late, but can u pin this comment or something so people can find this out?)
