But ppl still want to roll the wheel of fortune because doing it is relaxing.

Love the content and the commentary. Learning about CQB is fun, and watching you clear the levels using what you teach is fun. Keep up the good work.
@Guardian1793 жыл бұрын
Another argument for selective clearance in this case, would be potential to be overwhelmed and bogged down. With a 2 man element, your speed is going to be your security. You don't have the man power to get into a prolonged gunfight, and you can't cover all the threat angles. So moving through fast with high violence to initially put the enemy on their heels, grabbing your HVT, and extracting before they can form an effective response would be a valid coarse of action. I mean, there's also no implementation of enemy QRF in here, but if this guy were so well connected, and has locked himself in a panic room, I would bet he also has the cavalry coming too.
@bogdanvino3 жыл бұрын
You can have off-map spawns of enemies in this game, actually. I'm not sure if you can tie them to the timer specifically (as opposed to some other triggers), and they aren't commonly used, but they are there, you can see it in a couple of official levels
@coryhoggatt76913 жыл бұрын
A two man element argues the other way IMO. You can’t afford to leave enemies behind you. Assuming there’s an outer perimeter to keep the HVT from squirting, you have all day to get to him.
@Guardian1793 жыл бұрын
@@coryhoggatt7691 It really does depend on the full tactical situation. So in this specific instance, where there isn't an outside QRF or threat, you're not worried about this dude setting off a suicide vest or something, and all you have to deal with is the opposition in the flat, then a deliberate, systematic clearance would make more sense, as the deeper you go into the hole to find and retrieve the rat, the further you have to fight back out. But if you exterminate all the others on your way, you get to walk out like a boss with your prize at the end.

My only comment about this plan was that you were thinking too much about conventional clearing. The Ranger way to do this mission is to smash in and clear the "kitchen" then turn the corner into the bathroom, use 1 man to pull security on the far door from a deep position and use the other to plant a wall charge and blow into the saferoom. You'll take the bodyguard off guard who is likely focusing on the one doorway. the blast might even neutralize him. AND you'll have a cool webcam video of the OP.
@averyarabosa94133 жыл бұрын

I'm really liking the music drop during the replay, to the first doorkick/blow! Might I suggest you loop a few layers, then just drop new layers/beats as you do each new section of a clear? Like, a new layer for when you hit the guy on the left, build up another layer for each unarmed insurgent, then kick into full gear when you blow open the door to the living room. Lower it all, almost like a beat drop, for when you're doing the standoff, then bring it all back in once you shoot him. Instead of making a single track that's supposed to fit all your replays, make a little set of loops, and you can curate custom soundtracks to each battle, to custom lengths. It'll make for great gifs to put on reddit or IG or whatever, too!

You have very nice control of this game, ibelieve therewas some weak coverage when spycam on first left door especially as the door on the right opened up, and also when getting to the hostage i liked the stuff like suggesting you could have had calling or provoking any way the enemy (in real life) but from when u slice carefully and well and kill the first hostage holder and then enter and kill the second to me too much time goes by. Wonderful mission and lesson, thanks. I also agree the hostage must be saved fast, and using fasteners wld require time... I dnt know if these restrained guy wld then have to follow u, however being weapons in the first left room i would have fastened them, even if it s just two of u and it s a hosfage rescue. Hey CP you really should at least cuff the unarmed grunts. You can cuff them without having them follow you at least. Depending on the level scripting, the unarmed guys CAN run to an arms cache and pick up a weapon, so you definitely don't want to be leaving them unsecured behind you. When I ran this level, I saw that one lone wall between the bathroom and panic room and just brought a demo charge. Skipped that whole big room with all the glass and everything. Blow the wall, bang the panic room, and then cover the door while securing the HVI and getting the hell out.

When speaking of stimulus driven clears, I think the main points of deviation to stress should address the stimulus imperative and why we would roll past or plug uncleared space rather than eat up the angle, and why a narrow approach clearing deep angle, then step center, then button hook is different in speed and intent than deliberate search. And in this game, how to backclear with the hostage. Mostly though, about how moving to the stimulus means risk unclear spaces that aren't between you and the stimulus.

Ok, so this is totally something that doesn’t matter in the game, but in real life there are a few things with charges. 1: donut charges (door charges) are the only charges you can use indoors. 2: when breaching a door with a donut charge, you want to be at least 8ft away and at a 45° angle and not right against the wall since the energy goes back and to the sides. Btw, it’s 8ft with cover (blast blanket, or just be around a corner) and 13ft without any cover. Ok, that’s my useless rant about actually breaching in case anyone wants to add a bit of realism to their game 😉
@ControlledPairsGaming2 ай бұрын
This isn't really true. Many charges can be used indoors. It just depends on how it's tamped and what the MSD Frag/Blast are. Donut charges are common in the conventional force because it's a reliable build with a predictable MSD for frag and blast. And stand-off, of course, isn't build dependent, it's NEW dependent... and contingent on the mission variables.
@rockfox360dirtbikes2 ай бұрын
@ I’m aware of those, but it just becomes dangerous to those inside when you start using bigger charges, such as a det linear, indoors. Can you, yes, but it will take a larger toll on your troops. I appreciate the extra info tho!
