So sorry... this was a video from a couple years ago and we were brand new to recording anything. We have in our plans to be uploading another phonics lesson that is much better quality. Hopefully the text over the video helped you get what you need and you can ignore our poor video'ing skills :)

Hi, Thankyou for sharing your knowledge. I was wondering if you would consider remaking a video like this one but adding in the writing component that we now know is so important in evidence-based Structured Literacy. For instance, rather than just the teacher writing and having children blend the sounds, the students also write and blend their sounds, following the decode, encode, decode process. Do you think that is something you could consider doing it?

Yes! This is one of our oldest videos. Check out other phonics videos and you’ll find that dictation is a part of an effective phonics lesson.
