12:17 Chemical technician here, the pipes are usually painted, but more for safety reasons than being organized. For example, toxic and corrosive fluids are orange, flammable yellow. In some cases they have small arrows to point in the flow direction. Chemical production plants can, if properly marked, look quite colorful.

In addition to that many pipes in chemistry are made out of stainless steel because of the fluids inside so a material is used that can withstand these conditions and the outside Condition is mostly by fare easyer on the material so a paint job isn't really necessary but jep a bit of colour code is present for well possible hazards In my jobs yellow was always pressurized air, blue oxygen green water (possible hot), but not every pipe was fully painted mostly just a small colour band at the seams

23:58 I watch Seniac YT channel as well and he has figured out that the train 'Y' junctions need to be 21 units long. This prevents trains from getting stopped in a junction and blocking other trains. I believe the trains are 20 units long.

That was a death wave. It happens because the population has similar lifespans due to the code of the game. Just make sure you have a whole bunch of deathcare everywhere and let some time pass.

Sloving your population deaths 101: 1) Make a district entirely of hospitals with the total people to hospital capacity ratio is about 1:2 2) Neccesary road replanning to allow ambulances to reach to the sick faster 3)Build more houses and homes to cover the deaths

Who's gonna tell him you cant build a city as big as the map, before you hit the agent limit in Unity and the entire city services stop working because there are no free "slots" to spawn police / fire / garbage vehicles anymore? Not to mention it going to 15fps once you go above 100-200k citizens. Sadge. Great game, but not meant for the scale it was meant for.

You need to build a connection between your oil area and the main city area across the way, so trucks can get there without having to use the hiway and clogging it up for other traffic. Also, its best to try and keep your cargo and your passenger train lines separate.

The developers included some in-built mods that can be activated by heading to the content manager via the main menu. Here you can select Cities Skylines' unlimited money cheat, its unlock all progression option, or hard mode.

It is best to set up a flow based on how the trucks come in and out of the factories. Set the roads up as one way. Go from the oil pump, to the processing plant, to the manufacturing, to the shipping. Just try to balance how much the pumps put out, how much the processing plants can handle, and how much the factories and shipping can handle. This will GREATLY reduce traffic and speed up how fast you actually make money. So you might need 3 pumps feeding 1 refinery... and 3 of these roads feeding one factory. Also understand that each building has a small amount of storage and a few trucks, so if they need to have storage as these have their own trucks. Also the oil goes away. This can be stopped... it might need a mod or a game setting.

You need storage and warehousing as well. If theres no storage I think the game will just export the raw goods. Storage tells the processing units to call for that "inventory" to use to make the processed resources, which you then put into warehouses for the factories to call for, and then warehouses again near your commercial and industrial zones for those products to store which the businesses in those zone can call for them to sell to customers. Its how supply chains work.

I think you'd enjoy Hammerting. Then again, I was rather frustrated by Hammerting up until I started acting like it were a dwarfhome simulator rather than a compact city builder, and I started actually building vast exploratory tunnels... and just...walking under water. I guess they are also aquatic. And then the rail lines are absurdly fast. And I had to quit simply because I had so much of the mountain devoted to storage that it lagged out the game. I do rather dislike that I can't give individual dwarves priority for jobs other than "Favor it, don't do it, or 'eh'."
