Here lies a great soul.
Along a busy street sits an endearing property, that has become overgrown with shrubbery and weeds after its owner died
Once it was a vivid family home from the married couple Sveia and Torre. Now, only a memory remains.
They were a sporty couple who participated in several marching events all over Europe.
Whereas the plants are starving inside, they are overruling the property on the outside.
Despite the home was abandoned over two decades ago is still filled with food and belongings of its long-gone residents.
Let's take you to another house in Sweden that's frozen in time, and find out what wonders await me inside.

Svea was born 1923 and passed on in 1999. Tore was born 1910 and passed on 1990. It seems as there is at least one surviving child or close relative who now is in his 80's. I found some more people alive that probably are closely related as well. Based on what I found, I would guess (!) that the wedding picture depicts their son with his wife. The b&w wedding photo you found upstairs prorbably depicts Svea and Tore. In Sweden you will often find that these places are abandoned because the people become hospitalised or end up in homes for the elderly. These people often can't visit these houses and even less take care of them. When the people die, if there are no heirs, the houses will go to Allmänna arvsfonden. A national inheritance fund. Sometimes the houses just remain where they are. Falling apart as time goes by. Thanks for sharing this with us. I really like to pause the video frequently and just take it all in. It's also interesting to see what you can find online about the people that used to live in these places. The "very strange" wooden thing you found (at about ~30 minutes) was used to churn butter :-). The "black thing" (muff) that you found in the hat box at about 34 minutes were used to warm the hands of the ladies. They inserted the hands one from from each side.

I was thinking the same. The b&w photo was a graduation picture of their son and the color photo was his wedding pic. My husband is Swedish and I recognized how the graduation picture looks.

My neighbor died today and this is the saddest I've ever felt watching these videos. His life will be as forgotten as this place in the future. Tomorrow isn't promised so tell the people you love that you love and appreciate them and stop focusing on material things. That's my sermon for today. Good vibes to all.

This couple really loved their home! You can see and feel the warmth within the dwelling. Every ounce of their characters is on display for us all to witness. It’s a tragedy that this home has been just allowed to decay. Nature taking over. But then maybe that is better than being trashed by people who know no better! It still retains the love and dignity of those who resided there!! Beautiful.

The dark fur piece (appears to be mouton) is called a muff... you put your hands in either side to keep them warm... may also have been a zippered pocket inside... the string on it was probably to hang it up, that's not part of it. Sometimes there is a small woven rope or silk tie inside to hang off one hand... hers was probably from the 40s and 50s... the origins date back to the 16th century and at one time men used them as well in the 17th and 18th century Seems like they lived a full life....

This place is absolutely GORGEOUS. It is so very sad that things are just being left to rot back into the earth and no one to rescue any of it. There is so much there that I will just about die to have. The lamp with the green shade is just stunning and the dresser with that beautifully designed mirror is another thing that I would love to own. There is absolutely nothing that is manufactured today that can never equal the quality of those kinds of things you find in these homes. Thank you for taking me on these finds with you. I get to see things I would otherwise never get to go. The only other countries I have ever been was Germany and Austria. I have never seen anything or any place to equal the green foliage there. I have been to just about every state in the US and haven't seen the likes of those countries. Love each and every one of your videos and keep up the great work. God bless and stay safe.

Incredible find Maureno!! 24 years nearly untouched is just amazing. You definitely get a fee for the couple, sporty, humane and practical with a zest and enthusiasm for life. I’m very sad they are no longer with us but judging from their house the led full and rich (by that I mean not just financial) lives. The workshop, UNICEF flags and bicycles and medals are real evidence of this. The old wind up phone was a real joy to see! My aunt used to have one in the 90s and they were just going out of fashion then. I loved it though so it brought an instant flashback of happy memories when it saw it in this Swedish cottage. Wonderful as ever and you brightened up my gloomy Sunday before I start work. All the best and enjoy the Caribbean sun Maureno 😎👏

It appears to me that someone has gone through and taken whatever it was they wanted. There are a few pieces of furniture, and one lamp in particular that look like they are very expensive. I am surprised no one has removed them from the home. That large, black fur thing in the box was a muff. You put the string over your head, and let the muff hang down in front of your waist. You then insert a hand into each opening on the ends of the muff to keep your hands warm. I am 74. They were popular when I was young. I had a white one made from rabbit fur. I loved it.

Really enjoyed this explore. I didn't expect the house to be as expansive as it was at first glance. If it were not for that one area of leakage and water damage, it looks as if someone could easily walk in, tidy up a bit, and start living there again. I have a hard time imagining that it has been abandoned for about 25 years! Honestly, places like this are true time capsules. It's like walking through a living photograph. Quite remarkable. Maureno, I don't know how you find these unique places, but keep them coming! God bless you and stay safe. :)

The wooden thing in the corner that had the stick coming through the top is an old butter churn. They would pour the milk into the thing and put the lid back on and with a steady rhythm pull the long handle up and down and that would separate the milk fats from the milk. Hence, butter.

This is a very loved home. I bet he passed first and she had been packing up to move somewhere else, so she wouldn't be alone. That's why the boxes are there and some items are pulled from the shelves, ready to pack. Seems they lived a decent life Strange that the power is on

Hola Maureno!! 🙋‍♀️🇨🇱✌️♥️👏👏👏🍀

I think the reason why some abandon places still have the power on, is because the last resident had their power bill paid by having monthly payments automatically come out of their bank accounts... and no one closed their bank (or had the power turned off) after they died.

At 33:35 that is a "muff". The "muff" was used as a glove. Very popular in the late 1800's - 1900's. Especially during sleigh rides. You insert your hands thru both sides ( some had a zippered area inside to hold incidentals & were lined with satin or silk. The cord/chain placed around the neck. Some came with matching scarf & hat, all were traditionally made from mink or rabbit. Of course today they are made using faux fur. Thank goodness.
