A great explore guys, thanks for that.

Gonna be hard hearted. Do you know how the original owners GOT the mansion? What if they got it by taking what didn't belong to them either? There are only a few ways in this life that you can get a mansion... And not everyone gets them by fair means. I'm sure Prince Andrew has a mansion... Would it bother you if it was abandoned and then inevitably looted and vandalised or the Vatican beautiful architecturally though it is... Vandalised a lot of cultures to get such a beautiful building... Dosent make it right or wrong, just people being people. Life isn't so black and white, no story is.

Probably someone so much money they dont care and living somewhere else and just using mansion to store their cash because leaving it in a bank just looses buying power but because UK property always seem to go up in value least if its abandoned for many more years the value will still go up and you'll be able to sell for more than you paid for it.

@@ToxCccIf it's abandoned for too long eventually the weather will compromise it and then it will just start falling part to the point that it is listed as condemned. It's like this because the cost to maintain it is high. Not only do you need to be wealthy to buy a mansion like this, you have to be wealthy to maintain it. The money ran low in the family and they didn't sell in time when it was beautiful and nice. Then years passed and it got worse. Now it's a demolition job. @@MinoritySquad my guess is that they probably did decide to sell the house (albeit well after the time when anyone would want to buy it had passed) and now due to the state of the place and the sheer size of it, and the high cost of materials at the moment, nobody wants to take on this project. there could also be issues with the land itself being worth substantially more than the house which sits upon it which would also work against the family trying to sell it.

Probably due to it's gated community setting. Fascinating how humans are compelled to build a bigger nest for themselves than they could ever need. It's all about status, vanity, and showing the world what a 'winner' you are. No-one needs more than a few rooms for sleeping, cooking, relaxing etc. Everything else is a vanity project.
@robertehring20853 ай бұрын
It's called Bettering yourself, the human quest to strive for a better life and way of living; without it, we all would still be living in Caves and cooking the most recent catch over an open fire when we move on and improve the way of life there is going to be those who achieve what many would think wasteful. Still, it's only a step farther than the majority. Without those people, no one would try to do better because we would have no standards to go by. It may seem overkill to some, but it is only a form of advancement, and as seen here, a very hard advancement to sustain, as shown with the bankruptcy of the former owner. There are many who do not wish to just exist but to excel.
@rickenbacker4723 ай бұрын
@@robertehring2085 If you want to better yourself then I would suggest reading, socialising, philanthropy, engineering,or physical fitness etc. would be the way to do it. I realise it is man's instinct to dominate, and to seek validation from the wider group. These are animal urges that are hard to resist. They drive people to build little empires and create conspicuous displays of wealth. There is nothing very advanced about it. The instincts can be resisted with some clarity and self-restraint. I stand by my point that beyond a certain point large houses are nothing more than externalised ego. Ireland and the UK are full of such monuments to ego. They are a constant financial drain on the descendants, with 6 figure annual heating and maintenance costs. A never-ending drain on resources. It seems that in the US wood is more often used than stone, so at least they fall beyond repair over there quite quickly.

Great video and second time i have seen this place, but he did not get in the garage and said at least 5 people had tried to apply for the v5 for the porsche. But if he has gone bankcrupt then the banks own it all and slow to sell on. Shame it has been left to be trashed. Hope the house and cars get saved. Keep up the great work guys.

Mark, that’s very accurate information regarding the cars. do you have a link to this video? Or do you mean second time you have seen this place as in …. You have been?

I realize not everything is interested in everything small, but I have noticed several items you skimmed right over that would have been interesting to look over. It's a shame it is sad that it is so hot. Beautiful manor, I wish it was possible to be able to see what it looked like in its day. Thank you both for showing us this wonderful estate, Blessings to you guys, and stay safe. 🙂

Cheers for watching Carol, I'd be interested in the bits we skimmed over as it would help for future explores.

It was still under construction. Something happened to halt it. Divorce is often behind such properties. Sometimes the parties die before the issue is resolved. If the relatives live in another country, it could sit until it rots away.

Thank you for the background information included. Your explores are somewhat refreshing! I watch a lot of other explorers too, but they are mostly in Canada and the USA. Also, a few do Europe and Japan. Bros of Decay have hit some places in Britain. I usually don't watch explores that are longer than 30 minutes or ones which show nasty unflushed toilets or dead animals. I am very much a "snoop" but don't like extensive vandalism. Good job so far guys!😅

Thanks for checking out the video Jean. We've got plenty of beautiful English mansions and manor houses to look through on the channel, hope you enjoy them!

Your welcome Julie, by the time we had got to the boxes I was so hot and bothered, I really couldn't stand the heat in there lol apologies!

Why do you show a car with the cover half torn off and even with damage to it and then leave it without covering it up to prevent further damage to the car ?? Anyway tx. for the video looking forward to the next one.

It’s a shame why no one can make this house shine again. It’s sad they have to leave this beautiful place to rot and eventually get demolished. Sitting collecting dust and getting vandalised

They’re not gonna give out any details because that might give away clues to the location of the house which will result in people going there and nicking stuff.

If you guys would do some research about the properties that you explore it would take them to another level … watching these with no information is like eating junk food without any calories …. WHO were the last owners what was their profession why did they leave the property….. without giving names … this looks like there is or was renovations going on …. Was this one whole house or was it separate / ie when went outside and into what looked like it may have been a duplex

Wow very amazing. There was millionare who went bankrupt in a town near me way back in the late 80's Home was in the mountains worth 10's of millions of dollars and was very beautiful. The bank that owned the property paid a care taker to live in the property in one of the guest homes on the property for more than 10 years to take care of the home and property until they were able to sell the property to another millionare. Sad this property couldn't of been kept in good condition until someone else could buy it.
