This is the most comprehensive video on EFA I’ve seen on KZbin. Very educative and so easy to follow and understand. You’ve done a great job. 👏🏿👏🏿👏🏿👏🏿. You left no stone unturned. I’ll like to see more of such videos. Please do one on cluster analysis and other multivariate methods. Thank you 🙏🏿 🙏🏿🙏🏿

These series was excellent. thank you very much for your scientific and understandable teaching. I am measuring the psychometric properties of a scale in Iran. In the original article, the authors used the Direct Oblimin rotation method. But I got much better results using the Promax rotation. Am I allowed to make this change in analysis in my own research?

Hi, Rahman! Thank you for your question. As I am not a statistician, I am unable to tell you the difference about these two methods from the statistical perspective. However, the main goal of applying rotation is to help us to clarify and simplify the results of EFA. So, I would suggest you to use Promax rotation in your research as it gives you ‘better’ results. If you would like to justify why you’re using Promax than Direct Oblimin, you can refer to the following article: Orthogonal versus Oblique Factor Rotation: A Review of the Literature regarding the Pros and Cons. files.eric.ed.gov/fulltext/ED427031.pdf

Hello, Respected Sir, EFA of 79 line items scale shows their are 15 factors but all values are loaded in first column. i dont know why.... it means there is only one dimension of scale ? but i does not seem logical. kindly guide me how to handle this.... thanks
