Yeah there were definitely pros and cons about being on an empty ship, but for us the pros were greater. We really liked being able to have the pools and rock climbing wall to ourselves much of the time. And of course the service was great with so few people. For the sake of the cruise industry though, we hope they get back to normal soon!

Guessing there were lots on there though, otherwise they wouldn't have travelled. Not sure the last boat I went on was luxurious as this one...so pretty and so much to offer between the bars, pools, lovely rooms and some great looking views. That blue water is amazing and hope to get to the carrribeen one day myself. Nice Addition guys and a very thorough tours through the whole ship 💖💖

The staff that we talked to said it was about half full, but it definitely felt less than that. The busiest it ever felt was in the dining room at night, but even then much less busy than prior cruises. Surely the cruise lines are not profiting on cruises that are this empty, and we'd be surprised if we ever experience on quite like this again. We sure enjoyed the wide open spaces and extra great service though!

This gives me such memories from our own cruise travels! It must have been so surreal to be on an almost empty ship - lots of space to enjoy without the crowds! Rock climbing would be fun - we didn't do that when we were on our last Royal Caribbean cruise. Royal's cabins are quite spacious compared to some other cruise lines.
@Explorcation2 жыл бұрын
It was a surreal experience for sure. One that we did enjoy, but for the sake of the cruise industry, we hope to never experience again. We do love ships with rock walls. It's a great way to get exercise, plus the top of the wall is usually one of the best views on the ship! The cabin really did feel quite spacious. We were really impressed with all of the storage space.

Thanks for watching, Rhonda. Jamie loves being on the cruise ship. I'm more of a fan of the port days, even though only having a few hours on one island is never enough. Worked on that ship. So I had access to places passengers don't. It's a labyrinth under the deck. I liked the ship it was pretty luxurious. Loved it most when we reached USA and Norway through the fjords. Crossing The Atlantic wasn't very pleasant.

Thanks so much for sharing! We always thought it would be so cool to see the passenger only areas on a ship. Hopefully some day we will. We would absolutely love to take a cruise through the fjords in Norway.
@Jack_The_Ripper_Here Жыл бұрын
@@Explorcation those fjords were very beautiful, filmed it and I have it on my channel. It's really superb. The passenger area is big, long hallways on 3 decks, we had our own restaurant and bar, a lot of cabins, it's a lot of walking from where my cabin was to the workplace. My cabin was in the front of the ship right in front and I could hear the water at night hitting the bow. It's a different experience. We have our own elevators and stairs. It's crazy how many places are on one of these ships they're really big.

I think the Centrum would also be one of our favourite spots 🥰
@Explorcation2 жыл бұрын
Thanks, guys. We could hardly believe how empty the pools were. On many prior cruises the pools were packed most of the time. On this one we were the only ones in the pool more often than not. Wended up having lots of conversations with the lifeguards, as they literally had nothing to do except stare at an empty pool 😄.

This was such a therapeutic tour of the ship, I felt for 20 minutes like I was onboard! 😎 Your cabin looked really nice too. Interesting seeing the way staff now serve food to guests due to Covid. I wasn't surprised to see you guys scaling the rock climbing wall with ease!
@Explorcation2 жыл бұрын
Thanks for the kind comment, guys. We didn't mind the staff serving our food one bit. You can still eat as much as you'd like and it is certainly more sanitary. The cabin was really nice and quite spacious, and we sure can't complain about a free balcony upgrade. Yeah, the rock walls on cruise ships generally aren't too challenging, but there were a couple routes on this ship that made us work a little bit!

@Explorcation2 жыл бұрын
We were initially a bit concerned about noise coming through the connecting door, but we never heard a peep out of of those neighbors. One noise issue that we did have was from our neighbors on the other side who liked to drink and converse loudly on their balcony late at night. We definitely had to make sure our balcony door was shut completely before going to bed!

But if for some reason I end up going on one with some girl friends or something, do you have a recommendation for a cruise ship. Did yall feel safe on this one as far as cleanliness? It looks really neat!
@Explorcation2 жыл бұрын
Hey Tara! We sure hope you get a chance to experience a cruise some day! In the meantime, we're glad you can experience them through us! Regarding safety/cleanliness, we've always found Celebrity Cruise Lines to be particular clean and sanitary. Even before the pandemic, they really encouraged (and even required) guests to use hand sanitizing stations through the ship. They also are constantly wiping down surfaces. We're pretty sure they do a better job of cleaning than 99% of other public places we go. Other cruise lines that we've been on such as Royal, Carnival, and Norwegian did not have the cleanliness standards of Celebrity prior to COVID, but that seems to have changed based on our recent Royal cruise. We saw workers constantly wiping down surfaces, and we were happy that the buffets were no longer self serve (although we've heard that some cruise ships are going back to this). So overall we have always felt safe on our cruises, but everyone has their own level of risk tolerance/avoidance!

It's certainly an older/smaller ship, but we loved it at half capacity. We never had issues with the pools being small because they were almost always empty on our cruise. We always have had great experiences sailing on Celebrity though, and don't blame you one bit for going back!
