We sailed on the Mardi Gras September 25th. Walking into the ship the atrium lobby had us mesmerized at how amazing it was. We loved the center stage and spent time there listening to music and watching various games etc. The theatre was where we watched several shows. We liked the stadium seating. The Serenity deck is huge and we spent a lot of time there. The main dining room was beautiful and the service was great. We enjoyed eating at Chibang as well as Cucina. Our cabin was nice and we enjoyed our balcony. This ship is amazing and we will definitely book another cruise on the Mardi Gras.

I was on the Mardi Gras October 30th- Nov 6th. The Brass Magnolia is by far my favorite bar at sea. There's so much to do and see. Quickly realized I'd go crazy trying to do it all and accepted that I just needed to enjoy what I could. Rode Bolt 5 times, did the Ropes Course & Zip Line (did you walk the plank?) And those are three of the most thrilling water slides I've ever encountered. Guys Burger venue was huge. Shaq's Chicken was incredible. Summer Landing was THE SPOT for the last game of the World Series! I'm not going to wait for Celebration or the newly announced Jubilee. I'm going on the Mardi Gras again. 😉

I adore the Family Harbor on the Vista class ships! On Mardi Gras it’s really inconvenient - the kids club entrance is in the midship elevator lobby, which creates a ton of congestions. And even worse - there’s NO AFT ELEVATOR to deck 4! So not only do you have allllll the families on the ship going to the kids clubs using the midship elevators, you also have everyone whose room is aft on deck 4. It’s a cluster when you have little kids. We took the stairs almost all the time, which is fine because we have bigger little kids. But if we had a stroller there’s no way I would stay in the Family Harbor on Mardi Gras. So incredibly inconvenient and that makes me sad. Family Harbor is just fantastic on the other ships. 😢

Excellent Video, I have a March 5th seven night cruise scheduled, I’m both excited and a bit overwhelmed by everything on the ship, I have mostly sailed on smaller ships, (Legend, Paradise, Pride…) and have enjoyed them immensely. This will be my first cruise on a “Mega Ship” So it’s a good thing that it’s seven nights since it will probably take me that long just to figure out how to find my way back to cabin 😂😂😂

@@MelissaLona Hello Melissa, Carnival has there act together starting with the terminal, from getting out of my car in the adjacent parking garage to stepping foot on the ship was under twenty minutes. I really enjoyed the fact that there were nineteen different places to eat on board, the food was excellent, Shaq's Big chicken was AWESOME. as was Emeril's Bistro 1346 restaurant. although I never did actually eat in the main dining rooms. there were just way too many choices throughout the ship, I really liked the French Quarter and spent a lot of my evenings there. (The Brass Magnolia being my favorite) although be sure to check out the Fortune Teller Bar, it has some amazing drink concoctions. the shows were just off the charts from the smaller acts to the main stage cast and the Grand Central with it's three story video wall was amazing. there was lots of seating outside, and they have really stepped up the game by including lots of extra outdoor seating in the shade, so you can enjoy the outside without getting "cooked by the sun" there are multiple areas with pools and hot tubs both in the center and at the front and rear of the ship. and they have placed multiple bars outside by the pools and hot tubs so your not too far away from them. and there are always plenty of things to do, especially in the evenings, in fact a lot of the shows overlap making it a challenge to decide which show you want to go to. HOWEVER being it's such a large ship get ready to do a LOT of walking, the elevators were surprisingly small, and the comedy clubs, piano bar and theatre were small as well, so be prepared to either get a seat really early or stand in line waiting for them to open up. Same goes for the Grand Central it fills up quickly, especially for the early shows, Same thing for the meals, if you can go later you can get in easier, on my cruise the early meals had up to a thirty minute wait for a table, and all of the speciality restaurants were sold out before we even left the port. It's a great ship and full of lots of exciting things to do, excellent shows, fantastic food and wonderful decorations throughout the ship, BUT I recommend that you do some research on the ship's layout and use the hub app during the cruise to plan out your evening events.

Thanks, Eric. On our sailing both Guy's Smokehouse (nigh time reservation) and Cucinas did not require a reservation, just walk up. It is easily 2x as large as other Cucinas. We went at 7p and walked right in.

I guess we will find out if the ship is too big when we board in late January... I am hoping that the big ship means lots of open seating areas and that the many appealing options for food will mean crowds won't be too big of a problem.. We started our cruise experience on the Triumph/Sunrise in 2001, and tried the Sunrise again in November... it seemed small but it was very well renovated.. Did you have any major problems having your meals served in a timely manner? The ship looks huge but interesting and manageable..

I have been hearing that many of the venues on the ship are smaller than expected (like punchliner and the main theater for example). Hard to tell, it's all about how the entertainment director schedules the events. What I saw was a bunch of things happening at one time, and with more comedy shows, etc. So everyone has a chance. Def get in line for the comedy shows though. You will want a decent seat.

Man thats a huge ship I like your tour but I think it's too big I like the smaller ships that holds about half that many plus lots of the restaurants cost extra money which sucks but I do like Mexican food I probably would live on Mexican food plus some Italian, and the buffet for breakfast... And maybe the main dining room.... It is a beautiful ship in the interior....I would have to take a long cruise on this ship more then a week to see everything.....

Only two restaurants really cost extra, Rudi's Seafood and Steakhouse 555. The rest were pretty much free. Ship was never crowded. Too big to be crowded.

@@kennywalker4091 Thanks for the information Carnival is my favorite cruise line I been on several Carnival cruise ships only the smaller ones that hold around 2500 guest and about a 1000 crew members......

@@robertcolfack26 I was on the Carnival Elation from October 25th - 30th before getting on the Mardi Gras the 30th through November 6th. These were my 15th & 16th cruises with Carnival. My favorite ship of all time was the Carnival Fantasy. I love that class as they have the best Atriums on any ship, any line. The Mardi Gras needs to be experienced. Even then it's not as big as the Allure of the Seas in going on next week. 😉

@@kennywalker4091 Thanks Kenny I'll give Mardi Gras a try see what kind of a packages they have I would like a longer cruise then 7 days.... I also been on many Carnival cruises also 12 is my count along with other cruise lines like Norwegian, Holland American, and Princess.... And 2 American river cruises maybe someday I'll take a European river cruise 2 I think look pretty nice Uniworld Antoinette or the AmaMaga the AmaMaga would probably be my first choice it has more room.... My full count for cruises is 32 but I'm shooting for 50.... I talked to people who been on 70 or more cruises they take around 6 cruises every year they are mostly retired couples....

@@CruiseRadio I ABSOLUTELY LOVE the MARDI GRAS. I was there celebrating my 31st wedding anniversary. We had an amazing time.......However I just did a girls weekend with some girlfriends on the Carnival Elation and had LOTS OF PROBLEMS with our Suite G4.
