We have lived in Emmett most our lives and yes Emmett is a beautiful area which you have captured much of, but please give people both the good and the bad! Tell people that Hwy 16 (the Hwy taking residents to the Boise or Nampa area) is one of the most dangerous Hwys in the state. Tell people housing has gone through the roof to the point there are no houses available and if there any houses available, they are renting or selling for three times what they are worth leaving many residents living with family or packing into the few RV lots we have (many even living in their cars, trucks or vans). Tell people the beautiful lake here is packed every weekend with out of towners. Tell people we only have one grocery store and very little employment at wages a normal person can survive on. Normally, Emmett has always been a very welcoming community, but as far as more people moving here (verses just visiting) which appears to be the goal of this video, this little town is growing faster than it can keep up with leaving crowded classrooms and higher taxes to try to catch up with its growth 😥! Sorry to be a Debbie downer on your beautiful video but this town needs a break to catch up to itself!

Thank you for your kind words. Yes the population is growing in our neck of the woods but we can not "blame" it purely on migration between states. We can not dismiss the fact that the US's population more than tripled in the past 100 years.

Dude, Look out for the deer droppings? Are you frig’n kidding? What a misrepresentation of our town. We don’t want any more communists, socialists, progressives or liberals moving into our community. If your ideologies are of those and you are looking to relocating to Emmett or for that matter Idaho, please don’t! You aren’t welcome here! The once looked forward to Emmett Cherry Festival has turned into a gathering place for lowlifes from all over the valley. Along with the festival now comes an increase in criminal activity. Many locals intentionally avoid going into town during the festival days. Don’t misinterpret what I am saying as us being against change, we are all for it, changing our ways in that God comes first and returning to being a Constitutional Republic!
