One of the few places that I would actually like to visit in indonesia due to the fact that it's located in Sulawessi Utara province which is predominately christian in terms of population!!!

Sulawesi Utara sebenarnya potensinya sangat komplit, ada daerah panas dan dingin, wisata taman laut, pantai, pulau, gunung, puncak,danau, air terjun, hutan, paralayang, kuliner makanan enak2, ragey, sate babi, babi tore(chruncy), babi bakar, ayam woku, mie brenebon, tinutuan, ikan bakar, dll komplit-plit.

Pinoy and Minahasan are most likely have related blood line because our geograhpical location which is very close with one another and our features are very similiar as well (I feel like phillipine is our close brother but distance by nationality status). North Sulawesi is one of very view places in Indonesia which pork is the most consumed meat then followed by cakalang fish (skip jack tuna) and yellow fin tuna. You should come to MORAYA Fortress in Tondano to check your pedigree and your anchestry last name. Minahasan is the biggest ethnic group in North Sulawesi also had been rule over the sulawesi peninsula from long time ago. Mongondow is the second dominant ethnic group then followed by Sangir as the third biggest ethnic group in North Sulawesi. Sangir and Minahasan were close relatives because both have followed Christianity and also our way of lives and traditions are very similiar as well. There are also Mongondow ethnic group as the second biggest ethnic group in North Sulawesi, in the past they were the sworn enemy to Minaesa (Before Minahasa), but when we fought the european colonial empire we bonded together and both Minahasan and Mongondownese became close brother. Behind the name of Minahasa there were the 9 ethnic group who ruled over the peninsula then after series of war they went through of some rough defeat then each of the 9 Head's of Clan consists of Tontemboan, Tombulu, Tonsea, Tolour, Tonsawang/Tombatu ,Pasang/Ratahan, Ponosakan, Bantik, and Siau tribes. There were also 2 other sub ethnic group that didnt joined the gathering which was, Sangir Tua is known also as the Wowontehu / Bowontehu / Bobentehu ethnic group occupied Old Manarouw/Manado Island around Wenang/Manado and The Borgo sub-ethnicity was a descendant of the Minahasa people who married European people such as the Dutch, Portuguese and Spanish. Both Bobentehu and Borgo tribe didn't join the gathering in "Watu Pinawetengan" Only 9 Head's of Clan came to gather at "Watu Pinawetengan" ( Pinawetengan Stone ) They vowed and pledged to united and defeat the Mongondow Kingdom, now the side is a very historical side of Minahasan people. Then thereafter the impact was the Mongondow Kingdom beaten back to their original territory in Bolmong Raya, The assimilation results with the arrival of Europeans take shaped The Borgo sub ethnic group then later on recognized as sub ethnic Minahasan because they were descendant from the European and Minahasan as well, then they all united and become Minahasa ) Only The sangir ethnic group remained outside Minahasa and made their own Tribe Ethnic Group which is now known as Sangirnese who dwells on group of Island at Northern part of North Sulawesi Peninsula and also third biggest ethnic group now in North Sulawesi

Extra : Tasted series of defeats in a war against Minahasan to control Manado, the Minahasan backed up by the Dutch defeat Loloda Mokoagow. In the end Loloda lose control of Manado and an end of his reign of power in Manado as well as his glorious era also he was encountered coup d'etat and he was beheaded by his loyal soldier. The history said he became greedy of power and the famous king of Mongondouw known as a big womaniser. There is history of "Pingkan-Matindas" which become the biggest losing factor of King Loloda, his son Jacobus Manuel Manoppo became the next King of Mongondow tribe in bolmong territory now located south west of North Sulawesi. Jacobus Manuel Manoppo converted to Christianity(Catholic) because the influenced from the dutch but most of Mogondownese embraced islam afterwards as their religion because of the influnced of Gorontalo Islamic missionary & Islamic Sultanate from Ternate which is a closed ally and friend of Loloda Mokoagow when his campaigned to conquer Minahasan Peninsula. The Sultanate Ternate soldier supplied man power and ships. The people of Mongondow Tribe converted to new religion which is Islam because the Mongondow tradition and beliefs the King Religion must be embraced by his people as well. After big islamic influnced King Jacobus son converted to Islam and used Ismael as his first name and his middle and last name was passed down like his father thereafter the next king is Ismael Jacobus Manoppo embraced his people to follow his religion. Based from my knowledge of our history, I learned both Mongondow tribe and Gorontalo tribe had a close feeling and bond with one another because both of the tribe were fighting alongside against Minahasan tribe long time ago, so they get more attached to one another and there so the spread of Islam become more relevant. Many of the Mongondownese Royal bloodline and small amount of Mongondow people still hold on to their Christianity beliefs some of them moved to the Southern part of Minahasa ( Ratahan ) opposite border with North eastern eastern part of Bolaang Mongondow ( Mongondownese territory )
