These videos are so peaceful. I like getting to see and learn about the Japanese customs when it comes to things like the shrines too.

Then have you seen the barrier at the front of the shrine(s)? The gods are supposed to use the center way, that is why some shrines block them so that mere mortals don't block the way of the kami. And you bow in a greeting when a enter and leave their houses through the torii.

Dearest Madamoiselle, Cathy Cat I express my utmost gratitude from the depths of my heart for the magnificent pleasure your KZbin videos have brought me. Indeed, they transport me to a mystical kingdom, where my current troubles and tribulations are momentarily dissipated and replaced by glimpses of a joyful and beautiful portrait. Words cannot convey the extent to which I am grateful. I cannot thank you enough for your noble efforts in creating such a source of joy and happiness. I am filled with admiration for your artistry and skill. May Providence bless you and keep you, and may you continue to delight and inspire us with your videos. Yours truly, Raul Rousset

Really love this video, the music, and scenery are all really calming and nice, I think I prefer this kind of videos over the ones with narrative talkings.

I would not normally subscribe to a channel that started as a cosplay channel, but I am glad I did this one. Beautiful video. Your language skills give you the freedom to truly enjoy Kyoto. A bit of irony for you to say you enjoy riding on trains because you are a railroad star. I enjoyed your episode on the Shinkansen line. The normal gauge you cited of 1,435 mm compares to the 914 mm wide track I grew up next to. Edit to add: In no way did I mean I dislike cosplay. I had two friends who loved cosplay, one of whom taught English in Japan.

Just saw one of your videos about ask a Japanese. I have to say it was a good educational video. As a retired member of the armed forces who was stationed in Sasebo many years ago, I have to say your Japanese and English are the best I've heard. I honestly thought you were Japanese as well. I wish you much success with your channel. Awesome footage.

This video was so relaxing to watch and brought back so many memories of when I visited Kyoto. Arashiyama is one of my favorite places to visit, along with all of the different temples and shrines. The exhibit with the lit up gardens was beautiful, and I can't imagine how gorgeous it was to see in person. Thank you as always, Cathy for taking us along with you on this little peek inside of a day in your life visiting Kyoto 😊 Keep up the amazing work 🥰
