I just received mine in Spain and I can only say that it is an absolute wonder. Without a doubt, an excellent job by the entire development team. Lots of quality, powerful and really immersive sounds. I thought it would be a little less robust, but the product is taken care of in detail. Many successes to the Lava Genie team, because without a doubt their instrument is going to give a lot to talk about.

The amount of guitarists that are butthurt over this product is ridiculous.

This is not a guitar, it’s a sampler. And for me, as someone who uses samples to play live, having them in accessible in a guitar-like format / device is an amazing plus.

Im watching this closely. I feel that Louise and his team is onto something here. I play the keyboard and guitar in church worship, but I can see how a portable sampler like Lava Genie can fit in certain use cases. Often when I want to play something at a party gathering, I dont want to lug my 10kg keyboard along. Sure I can bring my guitar, but I will be limited by the genre of songs I can play on it (mainly also because of my skill issue). If i lug a laptop, sampler pads along, the setup quickly becomes more complicated than lugging my keyboard :( I dont like to sing karaoke on a mp3 playing off a Bluetooth speaker, because there is no control at all over mood, speed and which sections I want to repeat, and of course that all important repeat-the-last-line so that everyone in the party can end on a high note. Thats where I think Lava Genie sampler will fit in nicely. I can direct the flow of the song just like an instrument, and yet it is portable enough to even bring on a flight without buying extra luggage space (if im bringing the keyboard or guitar). Being able to allow audiences to play the Lava Genie and sing along, is also a great plus point during parties IMHO.

I play keyboard and use daw's but found guitar very difficult....this has the elements of guitar, strumming rythms etc and seems for someone like me a way of getting past the strings difficulty.....interesting.

I think what’s cool about this is I have cerebral palsy I’m not able to use my hands fully so when it comes to certain chords with a real guitar, I can’t hit them due to complications with my hands, but with this guitar, I could finally possibly play full guitar and full songsI would love to test this out sometime. This is a great concept for children to get into music. But you're not going to see Angus Young playing one. This new generation seems like they don't want to learn the good old fashioned way. Playing fake strings and connection to your phone seems a bit crazy. I like to isolate myself step back from technology and play some old blues on my fretless slide guitar. But to each is own.

@@louizteinluk Don't worry about it Louiz. This is what people have been saying about every single groundbreaking technology since the first happenings of digital technology came to music. Same with acoustic guitars becoming electric. And every time these technologies evolve, and become mainstream, it hasn't hindered creativity once. I use a tiny bit of AI in my music sometimes, a lot of the times I use VST plugins over analog gear. The LAVA Genie will do wonders not only for musicians, but people who are stepping into it for the first time. I'm gonna be the proud owner of this tool and I understand what it is, and it will be especially helpful to me for my carpal tunnel syndrome. My only wish is for LAVA to keep expanding in this new domain and finding new ways to grow and nourish this new sampler guitar into its true glory: a tool anyone can use and feel good about using. ... not to mention the amazing things it'll do for the disabled community. 🤍
