When I think about Terlingua, I think about the Chili Cook-off. I thought it was just an empty place that came to life only once a year. Amazing that there is a dog shelter being run there by such a loving lady. I've spent 52 years of my life rescuing dogs and cats in my neighborhood. Many of them became my loving companions with a good long life. Lots of hugs and kisses, too! May God bless that lady and her mission of love. 🐕🐶🦮🐕🦺

I was taught by a photographer who was a volunteer at our school. Mr. "O". Othell O. Owensby, AP, UPI, Chronicle Staff.That darkroom video and those Nikor reels and tank brought back the smell of the D-76, stop and fixer chemicals. Once again another great episode.

That skate rink reminds me of the old Trade Winds Roller Rink in Oak Forest on 34th, in Houston

Oh, JB!!! You were in my neck of the woods!! Wish I had known...it would've been fun to meet you. It was quite a pleasant surprise to see Broadway Skateland in Mesquite, TX. A wash of memories hit me. I remember being a 3rd or 4th grade Junior Girl Scout & going to that rink on a troop activity & it was my first experience on skates. I remember being so scared I literally crawled on my hands & knees to get to the rink floor & the awkward support of the rinks walls. I think this would've been sometime between 1974 & 1976. Yes, I eventually did learn to roller skate as well as 'shoot the duck,' the Limbo & the Hokey Pokey. I enjoyed many many visits over the ensuing years. Thank you for reviving those memories. BTW--You are doing an awesome job in following Bob & Kelly. I look to fifty years with you!! I grew up watching this show dating back to the "4-Country Reporter" days. ❤❤❤❤

Love this episode!! The dog story touched me. I’m not physically up to it yet but will adopt a pup once I can handle ownership of a dog. I love animals and believe we all do better with a pet

I haven't seen anyone go to Blessing TX, there's a Hotel there that serves homemade country breakfast, it's a 2 story house and it's old fashion from the tubs to the beds 😅 but very homey feeling ❤

This young man is doing a fine job. There should be no need to include references of Bob Philips, photographic or otherwise. For instance, remove the photo of Phillips in the introduction. Let this fellow stand on his on and allow him to bring TCR into the future solely on his own.
@osakarose56123 ай бұрын
I disagree. One should not forget nor throw out the past simply because a new generation takes over. The past informs our future. Bob Philips was and is highly respected for the work he did. There should always be some sort of acknowledgement of that fact.

@@markbrandlispot on….don’t delete references or photos that relate to Bob . He’s the reason this exist and subtle references are respectful and deserved.

It is called an “homage” and I stand with the others who have said that Bob should always be remembered in the credits.

There's nothing wrong with JB leaving the brief photo in the intro and/or mentioning Bob as often as he wishes to pay all the respect he desires to those who built the name and blazed the trail before him! I'm sure over time as in years past, the intro will change many times, but eliminating Bob's face from an intro is not going to have an effect on the fantastic job JB is doing one way or the other lol.

I very much dislike the term, " mid- century modern" ! What century? If it was another century, why would you modern? Just say the 1950's and 60's.

The only thing you need to do next, is to accept the LORD JESUS CHRIST as your savior. John 3:16 Context 13And no man hath ascended up to heaven, but he that came down from heaven, even the Son of man which is in heaven. 14And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of man be lifted up: 15That whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life. 16For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. 17For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved. 18He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. 19And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil.
