This area looked amazing! We are so disappointed you didn’t do the 17 mile loop 😂- What great family time! Nice tip to go early & avoid crowds! Chasing RV Sunshine ☀️ Joel, Deb & 🐕 Maya

We would have had a child mutiny if we'd even attempted the 17-miles. 😂 Doing the first two trails really give you a great perspective on the rain forest and we probably could've ended our day there so adding in a few more miles was more exercise than finding something new.

It's probably the best tip out there! We love to tell other people but there's a small part of us that hopes they don't listen. We love going in to the park early and avoiding the crowds! Wish we would have had a little rain while in the rainforest. It was so dry due to the recent heat wave. Hopefully 2022 is a better year. Thanks for watching and taking the time to comment! -Chris & Suzannah

Shelley and I visited the Hoh Rain Forest in April of 2018. There was almost no one there. We spent the better part of half a day or more exploring and photographing. It lived up to its name by raining while we were at the maple grove. Great video, guys. It was like being there all over again. Thank you for sharing. Peace and Safe Travels.

So we were somewhat following a photo tour. We kept trying to pass them and then they'd catch up and pass us. It was hopscotch. Either way, there were spotting things we were missing, like an owl...that I couldn't get decent footage of. The forest was so dry too. The heat wave this summer really took it's toll on the area. It would have been so cool to actually have rain while going through. Thanks again for watching!

@@HintonTheTrail It is better when it has been or is raining. Although I was getting weird looks walking around with an extra-large microfiber towel covering my camera and over half of my tripod legs🤣🤣🤣. Owls are definitely a challenge to get.

@@CraigNiesenPhotography Have you started getting a little more comfortable with weird looks for always having a camera our (with or without giant towels)? I'm getting more used to it.

@@HintonTheTrail Yep. Photographing in front of people has never really been an issue. Filming video of any kind was for a long time. Now it doesn't bother me, except if there is too much background conversation.

Yes it is. Very dry due to the heat wave this summer but still a very beautiful part of Olympic NPS.

Hi guys nice video but the enthusiasm of the boys was overwhelming. I have hike out to Guard Station and camped a couple of days. It is a beautiful area. I have been a trail correspondent for Washington Trail Association for 12 years and like to hike every weekend but I'm getting old and slowing down.

That was one of our best National Park visits with our older son. We only get him a few times a year. He loved the park, as we all did. Nothing wrong with slowing down. It helps you appreciate things more. Thank you for watching and taking the time to comment!

HOH-LY RAIN FOREST!! Olympic NPS has so many amazing locations and distinct areas. The Hoh Rain Forest is one of those and we loved our hikes throughout the day there. Have you visited Olympic NPS or the Hoh Rain Forest? What did you think?
