Good video mate and some spot on points. You just cannot underestimate the importance of having enough work space every thing else revolves around that and I reckon it's a make or break for a top camping trip. Keep up the good work pal and happy camping

All great points mate. Nice set up. I have my tap directed over the ground so I don't have to get a sink all wet and then have to empty it each time.

You’re most welcome! I think your table is a great solution to a problem many people face - after all, you can never have enough bench space! 🍻

Man, you make it seem so cool and interesting. I wonder if I should go that route and build a kitchen in the back of my vehicle. My main issue is how much weight is the average kitchen and do people keep them in their vehicles all of the time , or remove them and place them back in for overlanding or off road adventures?

Nice set up there mate 👍. I suggest you remove the lid off your cooker to free up all that bench space. Unless you have to have it on there when you cook. I don't think you really need it though. Love the slide out pantry. Great idea.
@explorebound3 жыл бұрын
Thanks mate! I've thought about removing the lid but at the moment it's acting as a splashback preventing cooking splatters from getting into the canopy, and while travelling I store my BBQ plate on the cooker and the lid keeps it in place. Good suggestion though. 🙂

Hey mate just curious why your tray is on an angle sloping towards the car? Is the tray like that so that when the canopy is placed onto the tray it levels out?

Mate I have the same canopy as you and I installed an 85L Bushman upright fridge. It is the perfect fit. Very reasonably priced and you don’t need a fridge slide which are expensive and heavy. I would never go back to a chest fridge for a canopy set up. You’re welcome to have a look at mine if you want. I’m in Como.

Hey mate, good to know! I’ve been considering a fridge upgrade as of late and have been tempted to go upright... how do you find the power consumption? Cheers.
@mothergoose30644 жыл бұрын
@@explorebound The Bushman generally draws 2 to 4 amps. It is seriously efficient. I was camped for a few days and only used my roof mounted 80watt solar panel which was half in shade and battery never went below 70%. Didn’t need to get out my solar blanket. I originally chose the Bushman based on size - it is the best fit for an MRT canopy. Regards Paul

Very well presented. Been meaning to ask. How do you keep all your items in your pantry from flying around? I use pieces of light soft sponge.
@explorebound2 жыл бұрын
I usually just pack it to the brim so stuff doesn't slide around but when it's on the empty side stuff tends to go everywhere so might try your sponge idea!
@ThePlim622 жыл бұрын
@@explorebound Cool. It works for me. Same with the fridge as it gets low. I have what I call the fridge towel. I just put it in the fridge and push it around all the gaps. Stops all the rattles. Hate rattles. Lol

Hey mate love the idea with the cooker on the slides. Just wondering how do you connect the regulator where the slide is? Cheers

Also any issues with screwing it in?

Hi mate, the runners screw into the cooker just before the gas attachment screws in - here’s a video showing how it works: kzbin.info/www/bejne/mKHReGOZr76Ed80
