That heartbreaking feeling when you tie into a big one and it pops off! 😩 If you know this feeling comment below. 😭😭. But it’s okay, it was still a great time being in the outdoors! 😍

Yes that is true! It was still a great time just being out on the lake and fishing. It’s a form of therapy for us just being out with nature. And thank you for your positive comment! 😁🎣

Once again great vid as always. Sorry Christine didn't land the Big One. Been watching your channel for awhile (subscribed) and you guys always seem to hook and land your share of really nice fish, which is no coincidence. It takes a lotta time on the water, set up, experience, and luck to land the fish of a lifetime. Fishing many, many years in the Eastern Sierra (love the Loop) fishing exclusively 2# test mono/fluoro, I've experienced that fishing light lines reels with a good drag system are important, as well a very sharp hooks. Once you get into a fish and it's running there's no turning it around, dip your rod a little and let him run, it will tire out eventually, then you go work. Love that you got her in a tube, I know she will love it in time. Tight lines and be safe.

Thank you for sticking around with us on our fishing adventures! We really appreciate your time and insight! Hopefully one day we will see you out on the lakes. Kristine was struggling in the beginning on the float tube maneuvering around but got better at it eventually. We love it out there in the sierras as well. Looks like they just had a big snow fall. For now we will probably just fish the big bear area until the season starts up again. Tight lines! 😁🎣

Sorry you didn't catch that fish. Hope you feel better. The scenery is beautiful. I haven't ever been to the Sierras in the fall.
@ExploreNaturesCatch4 жыл бұрын
It was heart breaking when it happened but overall it was still a wonderful day being out on lake! Fall is our preferred time to be out there. It Starts to get a little cooler and the fall color tress are really beautiful.

I wonder whether you have considered of using fish finder while tubing? It should help to locate some school of trout.
@ExploreNaturesCatch4 жыл бұрын
Yes I was actually thinking about that. Just couldn’t decide which fish finder to go with. Any recommendations?

Aw man I know the feeling of getting 🦨 i was at the same spot in silverlake a couple weeks ago and no fish. All my luck was at the backside of gull lake by the swing and big Virginia lakes. I even got 8 crawdads at gull lake one was on a floating worm that I reeled in lol the others I caught off the rock shelf with fish guts.
@ExploreNaturesCatch4 жыл бұрын
Yeah it’s been a little slow at that spot the past couple times we went there besides the big one we lost. I always wanted to drop a cage to catch those crawdads! I read people use a can of cat food and just poke holes on the top as bait. That will be a on the list to try!

5 years ago, I was fishing next to a guy on the shore of Silver Lake, right across the street from the little story/diner when this guy hooked up with a huge rainbow. 7lbs 11 ounces. He let me take a pic, but nobody was catching anything. Just that guy! I still have the pic!
@ExploreNaturesCatch4 жыл бұрын
Nice! That happened to us a couple times. Slow the whole day then bam! That token big one comes and visits the line! 😆 I always have that feeling inside, alright one last cast, one last cast, just waiting for that big one. 🎣

Awesome video! You were gripping that fish so hard xD You'll get them hogs next time when they grow bigger!
@ExploreNaturesCatch4 жыл бұрын
Thanks! Lol we were just talking about that grip on the fish 😆😆. We will be back out there next season to go after them again. For now, time for the more local lakes! 🎣😁

Love all of your videos. The Sierras are so beautiful! It looks like the spot you were at was a little north of the big parking lot? I have driven by but never stopped there. I hope to try it in October.
@ExploreNaturesCatch3 жыл бұрын
Thank you for watching William. It is definitely beautiful out there! Yes this spot is near the big parking lot right before the silver lake tackle shop coming from June lake. Good luck in OCT! Looks like inyo national forest is closing down for about a month starting tomorrow.

Have you ever hiked to Parker Lake and Fern lake? Both are in the Loop. My wife caught a 2 lb brown at Parker last year.
@ExploreNaturesCatch4 жыл бұрын
We haven’t been to either of those lakes actually. Next season we will start incorporating more lakes that we will have to hike into. That’s awesome she caught a nice brown! We haven’t tied into any monster browns yet but hopefully soon! Thanks for the suggestion on those lakes!

Hey guys love your videos!!! I have 2 questions for you guys.any input helps. Me and my girlfriend just bought the Cumberland float tubes you guys have and we were wondering what’s your process on storing it when your not using it. Do you fold it and put it in a box or do you leave it unflolded hanging some were? Next question Do you wear a life jacket?if so do you have the link? Thanks again For the awesome videos !!
@ExploreNaturesCatch4 жыл бұрын
Hey thanks for watching! Those are great float tubes. You guys will love them. We do fold them back up and put them back in the box. As long as it’s not hanging in the sun that should be okay too if you go that route. Kristine wears a life jacket but I don’t. It Would be safer to get a life jacket just in case. It is pretty difficult to get the fins and waders off if you do go under. We actually picked up the life jacket at dicks sporting goods. It is a light weight life jacket so it doesn’t have much bulk to it.
@ExploreNaturesCatch4 жыл бұрын
The life jacket brand that Kristine wears is MTI.

Hey guys I love your videos Quick question . When you guys fish your mice tails do you troll them or just let them sit there? Any advice on how you guys do it helps🤙🤙 Thanks and keep the videos coming !!
@ExploreNaturesCatch4 жыл бұрын
Hi thanks for watching! we just let the mice tail sit there. Don’t forget to add some kind of scent to it. It makes a huge difference. Our basic set up for the mice tail is Carolina rig, 4lb test P line floroclear, 1/4oz sliding egg sinker, Carolina keeper, size 8 owner mosquito hook, and the leader length varies from 1 1/2 to 2ft. Garlic scent was working great for us on the other days we were fishing in mammoth. Hope this helps! Follow us on Instagram also if you have one! @explorenaturescatch

Thank you so much on all your guys help and info🙏🤙 Random question but we live in the valley and want to go float tubing tomorrow is there any places you recommend that we could try out within a 2-3 hour drive ?
@ExploreNaturesCatch4 жыл бұрын
@@cmfyb hi no problem at all. I actually just found a list of float tube friendly lakes that someone made. A little old so you might want to double check. fishingnetwork.net/forum4/showthread.php?4529-float-tube-friendly-lakes I was actually thinking of Santa Ana river lakes this weekend to float tube but that lake gets extremely packed and you need to get there early to get in. I was turned away on my last attempt because I was too late. I haven’t tried again since that time but maybe this weekend.
@cmfyb4 жыл бұрын
@@ExploreNaturesCatch I’ve been wanting to try there to but pretty much only have Saturday and sundays off and the weekends there I heard are crazy busy. Thanks again for the info🙏🙏🤙🤙 Hopefully we run into you guys one day!! Fish on! Bringing that big fish energy 😂😂👍👍
