@@DefinitelyAPotatoit’s not everyone’s taste but I find her melding of ritual dance theater with minimalist inflected Melodies, extended vocal techniques and some amazing collaborations with fellow musicians. I find this music alone is trance inducing. Imagine that combined with sometimes obtuse metaphors in texts born in the recitation and writing reflecting non western traditions.

haha I gotchcha! As a big fan of both Monk and drugs, I understand what you mean. lol My GF hates it and thinks it's irritating and pretentious, which I get. Personally I like its exploration of the human voice as an instrument. But I also definitely get why it's so polarizing. lol Thanks for the comment!

This is far more complex than Dolmen Music, and for me, takes the concept of what she is trying to say in her music onto a higher level. That may just be a step too far for me. Repeated hearings may change my mind.
