NOTE: The video correctly states that you cannot tick the same provision off more than once from the table at the top of the board during a round, but suggests that you can still mark one of those types of spaces on your map - which isn't accurate. You may only place an X on a space containing a provision if the corresponding provision type is STILL available (has not been marked out) on the scoring tile column for the current round. NOTE: When I say there is no active player in the 7th turn of a 3 player game, that is in the 4th round only. NOTE: When playing with achievements, decide how many achievement tiles to use (1-3). Draw that number (total, not per player as the video states) from the leftover tiles and turn them over where you'll find goals for all the players. All players may earn achievement points. Achievements are scored at the end of the game unless otherwise indicated.

What a clever game! I really like this. I think it is an easy to understand, relaxing game that would be a great game to play in a lighter situation. Good mechanics, that make it just enough that it is not boring by any means. Alas, the ankle bracelet is still firmly in place; so this will be a pass for now. Perhaps after I have thinned the herd a little. Maybe when we start having more people over? Great video.

@@BadassBeazly Is this a born with thing or can one get it with the Citizenship? Asking for a friend
@BadassBeazly2 жыл бұрын
@@Skarpo89 I think the Canadian climate has a lot of influence on our reaction times, endurance and throwing abilities. Think of slipping on ice, shoveling mountains of snow after almost every weather event (winter, fall, spring and summer, it snows every season here it seems) and of course, the seemingly innumerable winter sports that folks enjoy here, gift us with this bizzare but exceedingly useful ability. I would say that it is a skill that is learned after experiencing 3-5 winters in Canada. So, I suppose this latent gravity manipulation proficiency can be had with citizenship too. Go tell your friend! 🤪

For using a scroll... are the 4 Xs replacing the normal 3/2 Xs from the terrain or is it 4 extra on top of the normal movement? (Example: terrain is mountain/desert (Active player chooses desert) can you mark 3 Xs on mountain then use scroll to mark 4 Xs on wager?)
@WatchItPlayed Жыл бұрын
It's replacing the normal X's you would place.

Hi Rodney, great video as always. One question, when playing with achievements, I understand from your video that each player gets a personal achievement, but when I look in the rule book looks like the achievements are public to all players. Which is right? Many thanks, Sebastian

@14:45 I do not believe that achievements are selected by each player. 1-3 tiles are selected and are objectives of all players. It may not be 100% clear in the text, but the 12 achievements that work like temple scoring would not make sense if they only applied to one player only (and page 9 states explicitly thay the same achievement may be achieved by e.g. 2 players simultaneously). The German rules also state more it more clearly: "Sie gelten für alle Spieler" (they -apply to all players). It is, however, to me not clear how the text describing that other players cross out numbers for these acthievements as there is only one tile per achievement and not any numbers elsewhere to cross out.
@WatchItPlayed2 жыл бұрын
Hi Jan, good catch on this - you are right, 1-3 achievements are reveled for the group (not per player). I will pin a note about this. Sorry for any confusion.

The rulebook states "You can only place an X on a space containing a provision if the corresponding provision type is still available on the scoring tyle column for the current round," so you cannot mark an X on the provision on your map if it one of that type has already been marked off that round.
@WatchItPlayed2 жыл бұрын
Very good point - the video correctly states that you cannot tick the same provision off more than once from the table at the top of the board during a round, but suggests that you can still mark one of those types of spaces on your map, which isn't accurate. Thank you for the catch - will add a note!

@@WatchItPlayed I actually saw the discussion over on BGG. I had mainly watched your video first and then did a quick read through of the rulebook and had missed it myself due to that combination. Although, honestly I would personally avoid marking through it even if it were legal. We've only played twice and no one has inadvertently broken that rule yet anyway, so all good.
