You know, after watching so many of your gaming vids over the years, of specifically the three of you (with Dave rounding off the perfect group), there's a certain feeling of comfort you guys give off that is so friendly, that I wish we were all neighbors and I could join in on the fun! Cheers!

Don't deny who you are Lincoln. One of my favorite parts of these videos is all the off-the-wall, humorous, and obscure references.

I really do love how calming this game is, and it's super easy to teach to a non-game group! It helps that the solo is also really fun in my experience. Glad to see it being shown off!

100% agree. Really calm game, and a strong solo game (even with the beat your score element). And hope your statement about being easy to teach to non-gamers is true, as I'm going to try get my 60-year-old parents to play this tomorrow. Though I have played a bunch of stuff with them over the past two years, and they've coped (sometimes barely. Looking at you, Istanbul...), so I've got faith in them.

I've played this game over 30 times and know the rules inside out and just wanted to see what you guys thought about it. The explanation was so good and thorough that I just couldn't skip that part. This will help me when explaining the game to others. Everything was explained in just the right order.

Thanks for the playthrough, Aaron as always an excellent teacher. For me this game seems like a mash up between Carcassonne, Kingdom Buider and Calico, which all are my go to games. Definitely on my list of board games to buy.

When I first saw this game, my initial thoughts were, "oh great, another tile placement game", it has a little Carcassonne feel, or you could say it's Planet all flattened out (since Planet also is a terrain and animal game). But I know the Brothers Murph love this game, and I've seen them play it a few times, now you guys are featuring it...it's starting to grow on me. I think the fact it has a relatively small footprint (as opposed to the table filling Carcassonne, which is a game I love) gives it a big selling point. Each player has their own little mini-board to work on and the fixed number of rounds keeps the game from overstaying its welcome. Scoring wise, it's a lot like a plethora of roll/flip and write style games. I might have to pick this one up at some point.

Thank you for this wonderful play-through and the excellent teach (and introduction) by Aaron. For me, it confirmed my suspicion that Cascadia is a very low interaction, highly solitaire game. It's too bad that either the drafting were more interesting or the that the players were interacting in a single terrain (à la Carcassonne). [One little note, Nikki's first tile placement could have been rotated 60 degrees to create more opportunities - I know, easy for me to coach from the other side of KZbin.] Thank you all!

Nikki would love my neighbor's tree. It's a giant sycamore and I see hawks perched in it all the time. This is going to be the perfect game for my newer gaming friends. They don't like heavy playing games and this one is a quick teach, and easy to set up. I'm posting a year later, because I just purchased this game. I find it to be a similar play to Shake That City, which just came out, if you have a mind to try that. Thanks for the fun!

FYI. Growing up hunting elk in Montana. Plural or singular was pronounced "elk". The only time elks was used was in reference to the fraternal organization "Elks"....."Elks club" was down the street. That's said I can not find anything from a literary source that indicates saying elks in refrence to several animals is improper. However in outdoor circles you may suffer some ridicule and jesting. I apologize now for any grammatical errors, and as always thanks for the video.

Still waiting for this very popular game to bite me. It seems ok, but I know many feel it's fantastic. Great teach, and I enjoyed the video, but I didn't see much excitement or suspense or deduction, etc. Maybe I've got a blind spot. I'll keep an open mind.
