@LoafDS Жыл бұрын
Hey there, Lead CM for Deadside. We are not removing safezones at all, instead we are giving community server admins the ability to remove them if they want. Removing safezones for everyone would be a terrible idea. Unfortunately it seems a lot of people have misinterpreted this feature, and its causing a lot of negativity, review bombing our game like you showed in your video, making the misunderstanding even worse. When I made the steam post, I assumed most people would at least read the first sentence, but I was wrong, so here we are. We do know that we have a long way to go though, making an open world survival game is a huge undertaking, and our team is still relatively small, but growing. I think once we flesh out all of our features, and add the features that we need, we will have a pretty solid game.

I remember Neo Scavenger. Friend of mine got really into it and pulled me into it because it felt immersive/it rewarded trying out different recipes to craft, where you'd get really excited at getting a shopping cart, feared going to sleep and it had a solid horror house in the middle of nowhere. As for it being something someone never played.. I imagine SsethTzeentch's video from 3 years ago with 3.3 million views might have changed that.. Haven't heard anyone talk about a new, similar game the devs have been making, though

Sunkenland is getting good :D You can dive down and get scrap metal, glass, cool decorations/neon signs, cloth etc :) Discovery down in the sea :D You can make the base out of metal pretty quick too. Weird naked things come sometimes at night, the music changes, but with a spear they're easy :) We did travel via a boat to another island but wasnt too bad, good balance. We have the difficulty on normal so maybe thats why? You get armor, dif clothes, bed, whole lot of stuff you can make inc flippers and oxygen tanks on the research table :D Theres 4 levels of recipes to unlock in there :) Can't wait to play more! :)

A shame NEO Scavenger didn't get much playtime in this video, but hey, that's permadeath for you, Its pretty different to most of the survival games i've played, there are unfortunately some issues in it with the random encounters that can happen it may be rare, but there ARE some encounters (story or otherwise random) that can result in instant death, There were some also nice mods to add extra content, however the dev forums got destroyed as far as i know which wiped alot of mods for the game. The mod NEO Scavenger Extended is actually still in active development right now and can be found in the steam forums and really adds to the game. It adds things like several types of clothing, changes how scavenging is handled (more locations in a tile but doesn't replenish as often) a whole lot new items, a few new creatures, new traits, both negative and positive. I really recommend it.

On neo Scavenger its one of the Goats in terms of HC rouge games. You really have to understand the actually perks you pick as they are very important and you can win using different choices. But it does take to learn the mechanics. On the one guy I find myself being that person on a lot of titles. I usually return to old staker MMOs like Stay Out, Next day, Fallen earth, etc. Usually a few others playing but never really cared about what is popular.

deadside is great but they honestly don't nearly update it as they should, as small a team as it is they focus on the wrong things, expanding on the map which is great, but we still don't even have land vehicles lol, they only just recently changed the sway/breath holding mechanics for scopes, and not to mention you still can't even go prone! lol

Im absolutely disgusted with the development team of deadside they partnered with tiny build a little over a year ago, and have released FOUR yes FOUR shit patches in a row with no actual idea what the fuck they’re doing. Dont get me wrong i loved the game pre 0.4 (the progressive recoil update) but since then it just feels like theyve lost the original direction they wanted to go with the game. Ill be back in around a year, i cant stand the changes they made over the past year, boats were so important that we coded them for well over 4 months, then on release they had so many bugs and its just so disgusting how people are still promoting it. Ive been here since the alpha release, and they’ve completely fked me in the ass and made me regret ever spending money on the game in the first place.

Sunkenland updated recently and killed my original save, but considering how much they changed things and it being early access, I'm fine with it. There is a definite advantage to diving for all your progression rather than trying to fight things on islands for it. There's also a pretty inexpensive pedal boat you can make early on to get around without swimming (and freezing your butt off in the water at night). Definitely worth the money to mess around in.

There’s PVE/PVP, some servers have both, some have one. It has base building like Rust, being able to build somewhere as long as that area isn’t already claimed by someone There’s airdrops, which pose risk in PVP as they are obvious camping points It has a proper vaulting and climbing system Scopes aren’t flat PIP images and actually render really well There’s a variety of guns, food, and healing items The guns look and sound amazing The list goes on
