Your take on mystery took back to memories of my late father. He started a new career midlife as an archeologist. As a child I asked him why he chose that path. His answer was so close to the description you give for your motivation to chase the mystery in life, I could almost hear your voices laid like nestled waves together. Thank you for the lovely memory and a mystery of time folding synchronicities. Much love and many more mysterious breathes.

@@92RedRevolver Thats right we went to central Deborah which is no longer an active mine and during this time of year the lower levels are filled with water due to not being active so its not worth pumping the water out. They cut a new shaft not far from the original to fit the industrial lift and make it safe for larger groups to go down. But I agree @Archibald Lancaster I could see Cerro Gordo become something like an exclusive Sovereign hills where you can go to travel back in time for a little while.

i guess but anyone with half a brain and a platform can make themselves sound profound. the reality is that the amount of information we can say we actually know about this world is nowhere near the amount that is still out there to discover so i wouldnt even say our lives have a lot of definitive facts but that we have tricked ourselves into believing that's how the world is. also dont take this the wrong way lol i actually do agree that brent's vids are very interesting and thought provoking. maybe hes just closer to that mindset since hes out there in the desert all alone. theres a reason people take psychedelics in the desert i guess.

To think of the resources needed and what they had available is mind boggling to me, after all they didn’t have Walmart for easy groceries, Home Depot for a cordless drill, cordless skil saw, a box of nails and lumber to build planks and ladders. They didn’t have tech climbing gear like we have today, vehicles with heat and air, comfy RV’s to sleep in......it’s just amazing !🤷🏼‍♀️ I’m glad you all didn’t go beyond your skill level trying to find gold, it was a great adventure to watch !!! I resonate so much with your closing thoughts here. We simply don't know everything about our world and even though we may think we know a lot, there's still lots to be discovered or rather re-discovered. I've always loved reading or watching stuff about ancient civilizations or the depths of the jungles and people's explorations of the unknown. It's fascinating overall to see what we can uncover. History lost or yet to be made.

I have a treasure story for all of you in France, during the end portion of WWII my grandpa George collected a small weapons cache for about five to ten automatic weapons and buried them under a large flat rock next to a tree. In the 70’s when my grandpa was finally able to return he found the weapons cache, but the French government had outlawed firearms so he was never able to bring his treasure back to the states. If anyone finds this I would be glad to hear about it but never the less, Good luck!

You should try these guys! kzbin.info He is located in Switzerland ( I guess) and crisscrosses Europe finding quite extraordinary WWII places... kzbin.infovideos Germans, they do all sorts of exploring and produce great videos. As to the gun prohibition, there must be an exemption for historical artifacts; I once heard/read something that if you make them useless, you can keep them. Something like that... Explosives though are a complete different story!

Pro-tip: Get a DJI Osmo Action cam, tie it to a rope with a flashlight attached to it and you can connect to it from your phone wirelessly over it's own built-in wifi access point and then lower it down into these holes you come across to see if they're worth further investigation BEFORE sending an actual person down into it.

Not really a Pro-tip. As long as you're aware of the risks, it's fine. Us mine explorers are generally very familiar with how mines were worked, the dangers within and how to best mitigate them.
